I think it's because this type of new design is getting more attention and better than previous n-series design like n73 n80 etc.

It derives from N81 and then n78, n96, n79, n85

maybe because the initial n81 design receives so much attention that nokia just want to keep it for a while longer.

and this phone has scratch resistant glass at the front panel which makes da phone looks solid.

but with that on, u can't escape the additional weight it gives

It comes in two colours... black (indigo) and white
I think the latter will be released later... or maybe not in this region .. sad.gif
Da white one looks seriously GREAT..

but the bad thing about this type of design is an n96 would look like n81.. i dont want that to happen..

and you know what i mean.. we dont want our nokia phones to look like another model..especially if it's an inferior model to ours.

From the released images, the white one comes with a white theme.. *drools*

if only it comes with a 2.8" screen with VGA resolution.

i'm using 5800 now. The screen is js amazing.. going back to QVGA feels like a downgrade..

nokia o nokia...

too big for a non touch screen? if you're saying that, then you're saying that samsung innov8, n95 8gb and other high end phones are no good in terms of size?

a lot of people buy these 2.8" lcd phones because of the big screen among other features..

if you said 3.2" was too big for a non touch screen phone then maybe you're right.. but if 2.8", it's a proven best seller for non touch screen phone.

like BBXiong said, if you like movies or just like eyecandy.. a bigger screen would be the choice for you.

3.2" still ok for non touch screen phone, manufacturer can make it even bigger like 3.5" by changing the form factor of the phone itself.

yeah.. correct by changing the form factor of the phone.. but that will make the screen longer right and not wide like in 5800?

that can be adjust, depend on how wide or how long u want the screen is.
3.2" is just the diagonal length.
the longer your screen the less wider it will but the diagonal length is still the same.

yeah that is what i mean.. diagonally it's 3.2". like tv or lcd screen la.. well known fact already.

but a longer screen would make a phone taller and be less pocketable.
