It's because of the touch screen technology used. It's a resistive type touch screen. where two layers of the screen would come in contact and calculations are made as to where the coordinates of the touch is made. The plastic of the front casing must be extra thin and flexible as to not dampen the sensitivity of the touch screen. That's why the screen is wavy.

I tested the camera shutter out. I shook it hard and snapped a picture. To my surprise it was clear with no evidence of motion blur whatsoever! However, I shook it up and down and the picture was actually squashed.
Shook it from side to side, snapped, and the picture came out, I LMAO coz everything looks like the leaning tower of Pisa.

Any of you guys tried out the geo-tagging feature? I tried it but can't seem to get it to work. I also dunno what to expect coz I've never used such a feature, so I dunno if I've actually got it to work or not.

The one I saw in the N97 demo video, the items on screen rearranges instead of the screen refreshing. That's even cooler! I doubt that the Tube will be able to do it as smoothly though. I dunno if it's confirmed to be on the N97 even.

The N86's way would be a refreshing thing on the Tube without straining the processor though.

Still the N97 uses the S60 5th, so still can dream ma.

That's why at least the N86 one can be used. Blacking out the screen and coming out in landscape mode is too typical.

But the way it is now it's relatively snappy. I'd rather have that than a fancy interface.

Try moving the camera about and snap. If you look mine carefully the pic above is squashed, while the pic underneath is skewed.

Haha, so you noticed?
I was trying to see whether the cam can take a decent pic when shaking it about. As it turns out it can do it without motion blur present, but as you can see the image is squashed or skewed.

When everything looks like the leaning tower of pisa, it's anything but decent.

Only so much can be done with software updates. However I found that colour reproduction is slightly better in Auto compared to the old FW. Maybe it's just in my head though.
