Garmin Mobile XT question

i'm at the part where i just started my garmin for the 1st time. completed some configuration and now at the screen where i can select:
- Purchase and Go
- Begin Free Trial
- Enter Product Key
- Connect to a Garmin GPS
how come i can only see the "Exit" option on the bottom right of the screen?
also, which option should i select in order to obtain the "Card ID"?
