Pretty same as the price of TP1 when it just came out, but on second thought I think TD2 would be better than TP2, because the QWERTY doesn't really help me to type faster and I hate phone with moving parts because they are more subjected to wear and tear.
Btw, how would it look if you try to run a VGA on this phone? we will see black bars on top and bottom? Or it stretches? |

QUOTE(fense @ Mar 7 2009, 11:13 AM) TP2 can upgrade to WM6.5? Whether the device is upgradeable to newer OS anot depends on your manufacturer, because I believe they have to pay for the license to provide you with newer versions.but i heard that in WMC2009, Microsoft said it does not support all current model, means all WM6.1 won't get any ugrade. However comment for WM6.5 still very bad. It was just upgraded the outlook, but no much functional improvement. Even no have finger keybpard like my OMNIA Window Mobile Player still no have new version. Those WM6.5 theme i think u can easily get it by SPb SHell or others third party software. right? So still wait for WM7 if they really can get the function of mylti point touch. Like iphone. lol Apart from that, they have to incur R&D cost to program the OS. And since WM7 is based on a newer OS 6.0 kernel as well as features some 'hardware' feature such as multi touch, that means devices have to comply to WM7 requirement to have those feature to be certified a WM device. Hence, slim chance that existing device will get WM7 upgrade. But on a separate note, only 'capacitive' screen supports multi touch right? |

Just did some survey at LYP and played with it, one word - awesome
SIS is bundling a free Selphy printer for all TP2. They are priced from 3099-3199 - with printer, TV out and 4GB PDA Expert - 3199 - fixed despite me saying competitor offering 3099 Tarita Mobility - 3099 - nego The gadget shop - 3099 - nego The Touch Flo 3D2 interface is so smooth and fast, keyboard is so easy to type compared to TP and Xperia This post has been edited by karhoe: Jun 14 2009, 12:27 AM |

QUOTE(iZuDeeN @ Jun 13 2009, 08:13 AM) msm7200a is superior than the 7201a 7201a is use in US only due to patent right read it here http://eseth.net/mobile/reviews/Sony-Erics...-Review_6.shtml QUOTE(Baronic @ Jun 14 2009, 11:51 PM) its your imagination, Well, not sure if the different processor yields a different result. I only gave my POV after playing with your TP and my brother's Diamond.since TP, Xperia and Tp2 have exactly the same specs. However its possible the TP and XPeria u used are using old roms, and do not have the drivers. and i doubt TP2 will have the drivers in the stock rom as well, as far as i know its exactly the same For your proper drivers for Tp, Xperia and TP2, google XDA Gfxboost, and XDA OpenVGDrivers http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...656#post2868656 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=509704 the large screen is nice, but IMHO i hated the keyboard. its severely crippled, sorta like Xperia's in a way. its not a complete keyboard. look up images on Touch Pro and Touch Pro 2's keyboard and u'll spot the difference. IMHO there is no excuse to omit such important keys, since its wide screen and has more space for the keyboard as well. for new WM users (with the cash to burn), its probably a good buy. but i wouldnt at all recommend current TP and Xperia users to upgrade to this. There's just nothing really new and improved Whether the keyboard is crippled a not, I find that I could type much faster on TP2, and to me, that alone is good enough already. After all a man's meat is another man's poison. The large screen is definitely a good complement to the WVGA resolution. I feel that TP screen is too small for a VGA resolution, it's very fine and sharp no doubt, but a bigger screen would be a better complement. |
