The pda phone market has a vicious cycle of introducing new products while we haven't actually enjoyed or really familiarized with our current purchase.

Why are there regrets? Have you really explored your phone or used all its features that deem it inferior to the new TD2 for example? Just because those are new phones doesn't mean that your current purchase has lost its appeal? I guess we are the guilty ones who are actually perpetrating these kind of lopsided view that new is always better. If that is the case, we'll always be salivating with every new device that is introduced and not satisfied and always be unhappy.

Like the saying goes, it is more of evolutionary rather than revolutionary.

shaun, simple fact is, windows mobile can perform more stuff than symbians. symbians is a relatively simple platform in comparison, while it does have advantages in simplicity itself. if you're talking about basic functions, play music, watch videos, take picture, sure, any phone now adays can do that. but then when u start talking about more intricate detail like customising, overclocking, creating new roms, basically what u can do with a PC, u can do in windows mobile

i agree symbian can flash firmware and everything, but well, its a long list and hard to explain. And i'm lazy. Since there were already threads comparing symbian and windows mobile long ago. And really its two different thing. U have to try both to compare. and yes i've used symbian before. it all comes down preference. which do u think is better. some people like symbian which is why u can find a large list of symbian users in handphone section and a large list of windows mobile users in this PDA section.

If u REALLY wanna find out more about it yourself, googling will find several interesting articles. But u are currently in the wrong thread, and this has nothing to do with the discussion.

Wait until the next OS upgrade. By that time we'll have devices with better hardware or just flash custom Win 6.5 mobile Rom if you want something different on your PPC. Current new devices do not offer much in terms of hardware improvements, just cosmetic changes.

totally agree with u. most PDAs have rather up to date specs. If u want real improvement, flash a new rom when its out. wait for 6.5 for example. current TD and HD and TP users already have the top of the line specs already. TP 2 and TD 2 are marketting gimmicks, slightly different only. not worth upgrading to if you bought your phone just last year

Make your 5800 play Warcraft and I will salute you. Else, just keep your fanboyism to yourself and stop flaming in every single damn thread in the PDA section
