Anyone own this phone yet ? still wonder to get this phone or get pixon and Innov8 ?

Just got back from town (KKinabalu), and found that Samsung Ultra Touch is out. Selling in KK at RM1899.
Had it demo-ed...
Impressed with the AMOLED picture quality ie very vibrant color.
Size very nice. Small not bulky.
Screen is anti scratch... the person demo-ed by trying to scratch the screen with a car key.

However, no wifi, and I was told that it has no QWERTY keyboard, pls correct me if Im wrong.

i like this phone!! but like what you guys said, lack of Wi-fi. this is the only thing that stop me frm buying.

any idea is there any upcoming model that is similar and WITH WI FI?

My sis got this phone today.. I was amazed at the screen and the anti-scratch thing.. its simply wow. Picture taken looks nice.

I just own this phone last two weeks.

What I like:
- Anti Scratch AMOLED Capacitive touch (WOW!)
- 8 Mega Pixel. (Better than Pixon)
- Slick Design.

What you need to do:
- If your purchase phone firmware is S8300DXIC2 or older, kindly updates to S8300DXID2 or newer which fix the touch selection issue and boost up the speed a lot. With recent firmware the phone is as speedy as Pixon. Drawback of recent firmware is they remove all the effect. No more 3D Slide effect when clicking the Menu button.

What you get by updating to newer S8300DXID2 firmware:
- Smooth interface and fixing touching selection issue.
- Added a lot of new widget like Youtube, Myspace, Facebook and etc.

It is touch screen and same as iPhone use capacitive touch (means only work with finger)

But no multi-touch like iPhone and iPhone still the best in terms of touch.

iPhone got very smooth animation..i very like..just many limit software..so just i change phone..

Then I suggest you better wait for Samsung Omnia HD (Symbian S60 v5) because Samsung Ultra touch is just a normal mobile phone not a Smartphone.

I disagree with iPhone limited software as there are plenty of more than 35,000 apps at Apps Store. + even mores once you jailbreak the iPhone.

NIce phone, but wasted got no wifi

Ya, Samsung always exclude the Wifi. But it still OK for me as I seldom suft net at phone. Anyway I do hope in future phone from Samsung remember included the Wifi on it.

heart samsung omnia HD before..but really dunno ll slow or not..nice lcd display,nice colour..

Samsung Omnia HD is guarantee smoother than Nokia N97 (From video I seen at Youtube). You may get the video easy at Youtube by searching on it.

i don like n97(sorry for those love n97 ppl)..really slow working..but think they ll improve after all..

can the menu background in this phone be changed? since i heard pixon cannot..

Just get this phone today, it was awesome espcially watching HD and the touch screen is not lag, any way does anyone know how to master reset or factory default settings? and do how check and upgrade the firmware?
