hi all expert here. i just got my new w995 ap, at RM 1000

i got a few questions regarding this phone, hope you all able to help me out.

1) how can i disable aGPS ? as i heard aGPS cost you more.

2) am i able to pre-load Google map ? to reduce my data charge incurred.

3) does this phone save my browser data just as my computer do ? ( temporary internet files )
if yes, where can i clear them ? need to clean it after some time using.

4) is there any shortcut to access my camera and start taking photo ? because im using k618i previously, and what i do is just need to unlock phone, press the camera button beside the phone then can start take picture.

5) the w995 firmware is currently R024 ?? should i update it ? i ask the seller and the seller said no need update.

6) i've try to took some picture with the flash on. (during night time, inside my house with lights on ), but what picture i get is even darker than the picture i took without flash, how come ? my skills problem or setting problem ?

7) how to check my imei number ? through web ? just wanna know whether my phone is recon / just new ap set

8) what is CID ? i heard some lowyat forumer mention about it, related with flashing / phone software upgrading. i just trying to learn more about it.

Guys , the Globe icon spinning at top of the phone means is using the mobile internet right ? ( which costs u ) how do i disable it so that i could only connect to internet using wifi?? O.O

I thought W995 is always giving out HPM77 headset?

any1 having prob wif their W995?

Once you're connected to Wifi it data connection should stop by itself, make sure you connect to Wifi first if you don't want data charges to incur.

HPM-88 is only offered in selected EU countries, ie. Sweden etc. It costs more there with HPM-88, USB reader and a few other extras


-aGPS uses cell tower network to triangulate your location so it locks your position in faster but uses your network data. Explore the the settings in the location services menu to disable it.



-That's not possible on any phone. You can't pre-load Google Maps AFAIK

-That's because usually with flash, shutter speed is faster therefore letting less light in thus making it darker. To solve this when it occurs, just increase the EV value with your D-pad so that it becomes brighter. Alternatively, after taking a dark photo you can use the built-in Edit in PhotoDJ option and use 'Brightness' to brighten your photos which usually comes out better than PhotoFix.

Do you know the difference between CID and CDA?

CID is security features - DB3210 have 0,49,52,53

CDA is the regional code
There is no varying features, its only have different languages and Custom pack

it's like Media . Menu . MiWorld < is there a way getting rid of that ?

i dont really know whats miworld , but everytime sometimes when i unlock my keypad , accidently could press the button and it will go online using mobile internet which i dont want to because it charged. =( some1 can help please on how to get rid of it or something ?
