now now, it's not something a champ should say!
hahaha.
anyway, i really think everyone fought well (besides me)
but in the end you were the one that is most consistent when it comes to the move with the biggest damage output.
when you are not missing the ultra, you actually have a very nice trump card.
i think you only missed once with the ultra juggle.
what was it?
this one?:
mp>t.uppercut>FADC>F.HK>Utra?

Added on June 30, 2009, 1:24 ambtw, you guys mind rating the videos? thanks. =P

Haha, rawfish is too humble smile.gif

I too need more exposure. I keep forgetting to tech throws and usually fail to see them coming anyway. I'm also too used to the bad habit of using the 4th H button for 3xP moves eg. Ex, Ultras. Should get that habit corrected soon, else i keep "feikei" the important combos during outings such as this one rclxub.gif

Ty to Alvin for the voluntary efforts in recording / editing / upping vids.

Great sporting crowd. Nostalgic arcade moments, minus the smoky environment *ahem... Planet Alien... cough*

I blame the claw player for reigniting an old SF passion in me vmad.gif

Seeya all soon and keep the fighting goin.

P/S : Call me Kai (aka TanKaiWei / Ryu player)

Kodos to ya Alvin, good job for hosting on the vids. At least the scene for fighting games has improoved compared to years before. I Kept thinking only my little circle of friends are still playing this genre. biggrin.gif

Good to know who is TanKaiWei, was impressed on your gameplay just missed out some openings but overall for someone who hasn't played with us through the net is considered good. thumbup.gif

rawfish got some nice fake moves for tricks, too bad i can't follow such plays as hands not that flexible blush.gif been a while havn't played with ya and that was not you a few months back thumbup.gif

leongteng,damn..still crazy strong ur gief, almost all the punch and kicks macam you ready 1 360 turning in the animation but the Vega(Claw) player was cool, at ;east he could put up a fight to a gief thumbup.gif

Ty Phyurix for ur kind comments. I play Ryu / shoto chars pretty much the same old style as I did back then during my arcade hey days (10+ years back as i recall). Hence the massive FB spams and anti jump-in shoryukens.

Prior to Alan's SF event @ Outpost, i usually just join my close friends every week in their homes : SuBingWen (Boxer), BenNeng / Loren (Claw), Baron (Guile) whenever i can afford the time. Their racun got me and Kevin (Dictator) playing again. Tho i gotta admit they didn't have to try racun us very hard, as the game itself its already appealing enough for any old timer to have an SF revival.

I do not own a PS3 console (not a console gaming fan sweat.gif ), thus limiting my SF4 exposure via internet, but its good to have Alan's SF events now as salvation.

So kudos to Alan for his initiatives rclxms.gif

i'm glad you guys like them.
sadly my camera's battery life and memory capacity does not allow me to record all the matches, or i'd really love to do so.

Oh, that one yeah I missed it - what to do, LOL. And both players MISSED the opportunities during the last 2 matches - I myself totally couldn't THINK of what to do due to pressure biggrin.gif. Leongteng5 missed Gief's Ultra chances too (from the video), I think because he gave me too much credit and expected me to JUMP as what I was doing the previous rounds biggrin.gif

I totally forgot I can't be too greedy to land that f.HK against chars like Gief, after a FADC'd Tiger Uppercut. His hitbox/float-time is different, plus timing to connect the f.HK was different so that's why he landed behind me.

Nice to have met and fought you smile.gif - I recognize the old school style - plus if your FADC combos (SRK -> Ultra) I would have not risked jumping in so frequently biggrin.gif

Rawfish, regarding the sagat FADC'd Tiger Uppercut, sometimes when i execute that move, the opponent is spinning like a corkscrew which prevents the f.HK frm connecting properly.
Any chance u know why as a Sagat expert? notworthy.gif
Damn, u guys having fun with all the mini events and stuff... thumbup.gif
Wish i could join... become punching bag oso kam yen ar...

I'm not an expert - just a user...

It's usually missed because:
1) opp is too high (you did the move too fast, and if you're near you'll switch axis and face the other side)
2) opp is too low (need to wait till he lands at your neck level, diff opps have diff float time if hit in the air)

But no matter how close, I believe you can still hit everyone without missing (something I need to confirm against everyone in training mode)

It's just something we all need to train - very character-specific. whatwhatinmybutt knows everyone's setup timing for Viper's EX-Seismo > s.jump > Burning Kick > Ultra - anywhere on screen smile.gif Some chars land behind, some in front.

C.Viper...
Juz thinking about her hard trial sends shivers down my spine...
I remembered it took me 3 hours to complete the last one alone.
Funny thing is, after i completed it once, it seems abit easier to pull it off again...
Maybe it's juz me...
No matter how i did on the trials, i still suck while playing with human players though... hehe rolleyes.gif

hanzsolo79, from what I noticed:
If the opponent went cork screwing (spinning) after getting hit with your tiger uppercut, it only happens as a counter hit and the landing point would be too near to Sagat after he FADCed his way. Its not like the standard uppercut to FADC combo with the F-HK. Remember, F-HK, Saga actually moves forward while performing the roundhouse so if the opponent went spinning and its too near you after FADC, you can't hit it.

Well I miss sometimes even with a normal hit, thats with wrong timing performing the F-HK. But for spins, I tried a lot of times, it wouldn't connect, so i end it with the Ultra instead, didn't try it with a Super though

No servers while playing, straight P2P. However, we still have to be connected to PSN, which can be annoying. sad.gif

You want as little lag as possible, play with Malaysians/Singaporeans/similar countries near Malaysia.

The other SFIV thread has a list of players. smile.gif

awww man... sorry phyurix... we wanted to fight you but we cant really tolerate the unstable network after several disconnections...

pls pls pls join the next tournament. it's so much fun to fight against you. meanwhile we'll try not to miss the links the next time we fight. my brother was getting really annoyed with his gouki's c.LP after the HK, usually he doesn't miss them.

and about me... it's getting worse... lately i have problems performing the hadouken motion while facing left. also the spinning kicks while facing right. it's such a disaster.

Lolz, no worries about it, i can tell after a few matches you guys wernt playing like some of the match videos earlier. So im just guessing the bad connection just drops the mood. Still, if you come to think of it. That was the only time we get to play each other rclxms.gif Nothing like having offline sessions i guess biggrin.gif

Joining the tourneys are tempting, but for me to join need to shell out like Rm500 just to attend blush.gif
Plus, take leave go KL for tourney instead of find GF, you think who will die? laugh.gif

Look for games 3 bars and above. Best is look for locals or people in neighbouring country. Check the PSN list. But most of it is due to the crappy local ISP connection. Can't really help you there unless you move out of the country....
