I just wanted to share this story with you guys. I have a friend, who was a rapidshare backdoor seller, whos been conning people on the net. His trick is he buys long term account from Rapidshare via Paypal etc, then he sells them back at ridiculous cheap price on the net. In every of his threads, he will put big bold letter "Please change password, email and security lock. Once you changed them you will be responsible for your account". And yes, he let them get hold of the accounts, let them changed whatever his customers want. After 1 or 2 days, he will email Rapidshare and tell them that his account has been hacked and request for password reset. He will show Rapidshare the paypal transaction to validate his claims. And most of the time, Rapidshare will reset the password in 1-2days. He stopped doing this recently, maybe he feels bad cheating money like this. But I tell, he has cheated a lot of money this way. So be warned, and always becareful when buying backdoor account. Peace. |

QUOTE(chinkor @ Feb 16 2009, 07:54 AM) I just wanted to share this story with you guys. be careful to buy it. sometimes they are scam. If you want RS accounts, always buy legit. Those ones you get on the net are either 'stolen' this way or via a pass stealer virus (with fully encrypted strings + packed executable) that's been circulated on many sites till today. It's undetectable unless you have a software firewall. I used to crack the FTP dumps they stored their stolen passes in to get free RS accounts.. thing is RS changes your pass after 5 diff subnets have logged in within a day.
Your friend won't be able to do this anymore one day, RS adapts quickly |
