we will have to see how good is this new sensor by Sony. it is supposedly based off a Sony Alpha DSLR sensor, and the sensor size is bigger than other mobile phone cameras. however, the lense on the phone does look rather small from the photo.

the touchscreen used should be the same resistive touchscreen as used in the 5800. it is unlikely to be capacitive because the Symbian Touch 60 is just not optimized for it (as of now).

to me, i've always enjoyed using my iPhone's capacitive screens compared to resistive screens. maybe it is just me.
yup. true. if the camera makes very high compression of a 12.1mp photo, then it would be rather pointless as well like with most camera phones today that have so many MP but the size of the photos are really small, which shows that not much data is in the photo, hence lower quality photos.

to me, the 5800 is one of the most sensitive resistive touchscreens I used, whereby don't really need any force but just a touch will do. just hoping that the Idou would use back roughly the same sensitive screen as the 5800xm and i'm sure many people will be happy.

I think the IMX060PQ is the sensor used in Idou, as its newly developed by Sony in Nov '08, and the shipment date will be Mar '09, witch is quite close to the Idou release date Q2 '09.

ah...actually nowadays alot of phones can beat iphone edi.
juz becoz Iphone has the brand name and image only... it sounds cool to have an iphone. (which i think is bs. =p)

anyways, speaking of features, this phone definitely can beat iphone. its more sleek and stylish.

LG affirms that 12 megapixel cameraphone is in the works

Here at MWC, the only cellphone maker to actually come forward with proof of a 12 megapixel phone was Sony Ericsson. Still, you know that everyone else is apt to follow suit as quickly as possible, and it seems that LG will be one of the first. In fact, said company "absolutely" has a 12 megapixeler in the works. That's according to Jeremy Newing, LG Mobile's head of marketing in the UK, who also proclaimed that the KS360 would be LG's first Android phone. In his words: "We'll very much be releasing a 12MP cameraphone. However, it's important that people realize when taking 12MP images, they'll be using huge amounts of data, and it will be more difficult to do things like send such files." Honestly, we're a bit tired of the megapixel race -- get an optical zoom onto a slim cellphone, and then we'll talk.
