I guess everyone is waiting for this Satio and Aino. How come does the Aino get better ratings at GSMArena.com compared to Satio? I was poisoned with this phone since... CNY this year. Now seems like the wait is neverending.
aino is more interesting bcos it's wirelessly linked to ps3
nokia always been the 'battery eater'. while SE manages to stand longer than nokia even it's mah is low. but with xenon flash, im certainly expect that we need to charge, everyday.
but i do hope there will be an upgraded battery just like n82.
i think generally battery of that capacity always has short lives. u can google up review for samsung pixon 12. its a 12mp xenon flash camera touchscreen OLED phone with ~1000mah battery. some of the cons i saw are short battery life.

If I want a 12 MP camera, might as well buy a digital camera. You will get better satisfaction. There are Sony digital cameras which are very compact and have good lenses. The battery life of the phone would be an issue. If the phone uses a 1000 miH Lithium ion battery, you cannot use the phone for more than a day if you keep using the camera and its flash. For less than RM2K you can get a good digital camera with better specs (and price). For me price >RM2K is not worth it for a phone. I can buy a notebook also for less than RM3K. Anyway that's my opinion but for those who have a lot of RM to use, by all means buy one.
well, i'm not very sure about the others, but i'm not considering this phone just bcos it's got 12mp and xenon, but rather it's just one of the advantages compared to other phones with almost the same price and function.
let's say someone is lookin for a touchscreen camera phone at least 5mp, with gps and wifi, most of the phones (n97, i8910, omnia 2, jet, pixon12) fall into this price category (around rm2k or above). since you gotta buy a phone at this price anyway, why not consider one with a better camera, isnt it?
What is the advantage? If 12MP is the advantage but sensor sucks, then it's OUT. Anyway, this phone been delay. And by that time, Samsung, Nokia would release something even far better. Sad to say, this phone caught my eye before. But after other manufacturer release better phone, I don't seem to know why people still want this phone
if u want to know wats the advantage, ask those who want xenon flashes to be included in every cameraphone.
12MP without bigger sensor with Xenon Flash is useless. Eventhough we could adjust the Megapixel to 5MP, then other 7MP is useless. I know the advantage of Xenon Flash. I tried my boss N82 before. Works perfect. The camera is nice. Because of it's sensor. It's suits with 5MP of the N82. Satio? If Sony didn't do anything with the sensor. It's useless, the picture isn't good for higher pixel picture. It's a drawback for Satio. I think so. Wait for the review.
in any case, even if sony is dumb enough not to put a new sensor inside, wont u agree that xenon flash will provide enough light so that pictures in the dark are not choppy compared to using only a LED flash? most cameras take good picture in bright lighting, it's just the dark to makes everyone look bad.
Yeah, but the drawback is still there. Quality picture is bad when set to 12MP. Anyway, if I want 12MP, better go for Digital Camera.
yes, i understand. a phone is still a phone, point taken. it's like saying, u spend so much to buy n97, i can use the same money to buy a netbook, yadayada. i'm not looking for a camera, i'm looking for the phone with the best functions overall.
yes.. better they delay the release of this idou and make sure it has really good 12mp camera.. dont end up the camera is worse then renoir..
i think most of the work done before releasing satio is mostly to do with fixing any bugs in the firmware and optimizing more of the interface. there are unlikely any changes in the hardware.
yerp. hopefully it will kinetic scrolling also. n they shud optimize the camera also so that it can be at least on par with pixon12
hahaha, samsung is trying to get on sony's neck. sony announced a 12mp cameraphone first, but samsung had it on the market before sony. but reviews say that sony has already lost the 12mp battle to samsung.
i quote:

The price difference between the two is negligible - the PIXON12 will retail for 600 Euro or so, whereas the i8190 HD will be available for 650-700 Euro.
Given that the won't be a bunch of 12 MP cameraphones around, it's worth mentioning the Sony Ericsson Satio - an S60 smartphone going for around 600 Euro. As far as its camera is concerned, the Satio can offer very similar image quality and comparable ergonomics, yet much fewer settings. While it will generate some sales, it won't outdo the PIXON12 - the Satio is set to arrive much later and the its only chance for success is if its price drops by 20 percent at the least. Alas, that's impossible.
that is why i scare most transfering contacts from Nokia to SE. Everytime pening. Hehehe
i use mobical. all my contacts, notes are synced online. wen i get a new phone, i jz sync everything into the new phone. worked when i changed 6680 > 6120c > n82. not sure about nokia > SE though.
lol, i realise that wen ppl ask wanna buy iphone or other phone, its easier to just tell ppl to get iphone, because its a good begineer smartphone. satio has better functions and more software support, but iphone is just simple and easy to use, tats y many ppl like it.
