it depends on the memory card or internal memory? or is there a set limit on the time.

QUOTE(leongqweasdzxc @ Mar 21 2009, 10:44 PM) hey u dont need to but at nokia stores...they will sell at the exact RRP - Recommended Retail Price, and they wont give u extras like other shops do..hmmm i wanna ask a question at www.mobile88.com the price for n82 is Rm1350 - Rm1430 for ORI while Rm1140 - Rm 1170 for AP set but how come the Nokia Centre @ the curve is selling at rm1699 ? is that considered as highway robbery ? lol! thanks in advance buy at other shops that sell original n82 and ask them to give you extras like screen protector and leather casing etc.. the price diff between nokia stores and other stores can go around rm100-rm200 difference. |

QUOTE(emilyc @ Mar 22 2009, 07:58 AM) For those that have covered the red light with a blu-tac, can it completely block the light? Because if we just use our fingers the light still penetrates our fingers =/ i can help you there with the shutter sound. actually is is compulsory for asian countries to have shutter sound and red light for cameraphones..Also, when peeling off the blu-tac, does it leave any oily residue? The N82 is a great phone with a great camera, but the shutter sound + red light is driving me crazy o_O Such a shame. change product code to euro1 and update to the euro1 firmware. Added on March 22, 2009, 4:00 pm QUOTE(booooster @ Mar 22 2009, 02:57 PM) i solved this problem by sticking a small piece of paper on top of it. SILENT HUNTER camera now..heheAdded on March 22, 2009, 4:01 pm QUOTE(fathiakan @ Mar 22 2009, 09:54 AM) I using n95 8gb just for 2 week. What i can say is, i need to charge everynight.(very heavy sms user here). Well, im not a heavy texter, but i do take photos with my camera a lot and i suspect if im using n82 it will drain more batt power because of the xenon flash...especially at night or indoors. And for my n82, the battery can last for 2 days with heavy sms. For me,n95 8gb more power hungry than n82 due to big screen factor (alway use this feature when use phone) and for n82 is due to xenon flash (seldom use this feature) This post has been edited by alpha_company: Mar 22 2009, 04:01 PM |

QUOTE(emilyc @ Mar 22 2009, 09:12 PM) About the Euro firmware, yeah I know about that. But not willing to do something as risky, plus, changing to euro means will lose the chinese characters right? yeah... if you dont know how to update firmware, maybe u shouldnt do it.Hey can you take a picture on your paper method? Won't the red light still pass through? but i learned it myself and it was easy enough to understand. i dont see it as a risk because the difference between updating your phone with original FW and updating your phone with EURO FW is to change the codes to EURO only. that's all. then, the rest of the steps are the same, just update with nokia software updater. p.s. chinese language is not included in euro fw yeah method works..i use something like a cut out cigarette box This post has been edited by alpha_company: Mar 23 2009, 12:34 AM |

QUOTE(jijiks @ Mar 25 2009, 12:16 AM) I guest you are the pro in the n82 i can tell u the steps to change the product code of your current phone from whatever it is now to EURO which would silent your phone in silent profile and/or turn off the "warning sound" in your current active profile.first things first to avoid any complications later 1. do u have original avaxx/zitron or AP set? 2. do u know how to update your phone using nokia software updater? |

QUOTE(chewchew @ Mar 25 2009, 05:28 PM) is the wifi sniffing easy to use?... when u want to go online u have options whether to use wifi or 3g.as in is it easy for the phone to sniff out wifi network available?... what if the wifi network suddenly get disconnected?...will access to the internet be disconnected o will it connect automatically using 3G which is damn expansive?.... thank you for your attention... if the wifi is suddenly disconnected, do not worry, as you can set it to use WIFI as the default connection. Then it will not automatically connect to 3g and it will only display "disconnected". u will have to choose what network to connect to in order to resume if you dont want to use 3g at all and would like to save battery at the same time, u can change TOOLS> SETTINGS> PHONE > NETWORK.. in the netwrok choose GSM only if you want to disable 3g. it will save a bit more battery life in urban areas and it will save much more battery life in rural areas where there are no OR low 3g coverage. QUOTE(MiN_SAHC @ Mar 25 2009, 09:31 PM) Erm.. When we received sms, N82 only show '1 message receive' but with 5610 or SE hp, it will show '1 message received from "somebody". My brother used 5610 so I know this feature available. If I'm not mistaken, this option under display for 5610.. oh.. as far as i know, s60 cant do that.. and it also cannot make the wallpaper appear full screen unlike in 5610.Added on March 25, 2009, 9:53 pm QUOTE(kyser39099 @ Mar 25 2009, 09:30 PM) okay.. so now i found out that my n82 had a noticeable free memory 'leak' while idling... last time it was 92MB but now only 87MB.. no other processes running... if you want to see a full list of processes running in your phone, try installing this. Jbak taskmangot anything for me to delete? im new to s60.. sifu come2 help me... but if you do not know what apps to kill, i suggest you not to. i guess you're having a problem with your firmware.
keep the pics in memory card. back it up. i suggest reinstalling / installing the latest firmware and formatting the memory card. remember to backup anything that u wanna keep manually or use nokia pc suite to back it up. |

the weird thing is that u said that it's okay when it was on chinese language.. maybe you could try changing the product code to euro, update firmware then change the code back to apac and update firmware again...just a suggestion. if you dont use chinese, no harm keeping the euro product code. change product code using nemesis suite but u need to find the country product codes yourself. google

As long as people buy it..shop will stick to the price..regardless of RRP price/ori price. So the shops are the clear winners here..hehe.. but what to do..
