I notice my C:\ (Phone Memory) left 7MB free space (total 125 MB used). I do a memory check, and the files, sounds, video, SMS, etc. only takes up about 25MB. Then I use Xplore and check the C:\ usage (all the visible SYS, System, Private, Resources, etc.)

When I total up, it is not even 40MB.

125 - 40MB = 85MB used for what ???

I use some few layers of thick stickers/blu-tack to cover half of the flash to reduce the red light when taking close-up indoor pictures. Peel it off when need full or outside.

No. I blocked it and still can take close-up picture sharply, with or without flash. 20-40cm distance.

Yes, that's the problem. My images have very heavy red tinge and colour if focus distance is 20-40cm. I take a lot of close up pictures indoor. A pure white label becomes pinkish/redish

Even a pink envelope is reflecting a stronger pink in the centre

Conclusion: Stupid red light

Sure faulty ? But lazy to send to service. No time to reinstall if they mess up my phone or format it.

Cannot be. I cover it up and still can take flash photo with accurate focus in dark environment.


My camera is default Auto (Auto/Flash/Red Yee/No Flash/Off)

Ok, as requested.

Pic #1: Sorry, blur cropped picture as I take it too close to the mirror. Notice it is half-covered with pirated-blu-tack.


Pic #2: This is the pot-image without flash, taken at dark area (maybe too dark)


Pic #3: Now you see the marvelous N82 Xenon Flash. In this picture, the flash is partially covered with blu-tack. The stupid red-light comes out before picture is taken. Which means, without the red-light or obstructed (very faint), a focused picture can be taken.


Pic #4: Same as picture #3, but with blu-tack removed completely. Also has red-light before picture is taken.


Pic #5: Same pot. No flash, but with kitchen lights switched on. No red-light comes out.


Pic #6: Now, this is where it gets weird. Picture taken with lights switched on. No flash. No red-light comes out.


Pic #7: Same as #6, but with flash. Red light comes out.


My conclusion:
1) Red-light does not help in auto-focus, whether in complete brightness or darkness.
2) The stupid red-light only comes out when there is flash

The pot distance is about 40cm distance from lense.
The newspaper is about 25cm.

Maybe I should try the pot, with lights and with flash.

Need to view again if the red-light is very short moment, or none at all. Definitely not long.

I recall the red-light is there all the time, Asia product code is to have that red-light. Just long/short only.

But, a separate thing is, the red-light is not for auto-focus or to help auto-focus, whether in dark/bright environment. I can still take sharp pictures with the red-light blocked.

There are incidents where the magnet affect the camera slider, and switch on the camera app, and drain the battery fast.

I'm sure there is a gap between the pouch and your belt or pocket. Or try to put the pouch inside bag. If you notice the handset is mild-warm, it means something is activated, e.g. camera.

Then, let's report/complain about iPhone thread. Escalate higher.

My SMS count is about 9000+ now.

I think my camera loading and default browser speed is still 99% similiar to new. The one slow down is the Menu, SMS Messaging, and Gallery.
