QUOTE(fx2800 @ Feb 15 2009, 12:02 AM) unlock your iphone using yellowsn0w. get it in cydia. google for the instructions. Read below.. QUOTE(lancerie @ Feb 14 2009, 12:15 PM) hi seniors, i have very smart brain and i have accidentally updated my firmware to 2.2.1, meaning it's running at baseband of 2.30.3, which means i have screwed up, congratulate me. since i do not know when the dev team will release the unlock for 2.30.3 baseband, i was thinking if i could use those sim unlocker, like a chip or something, some people said MINE IS WORKING PERFECTLY!! some say there is alot of problems and preferred unlocked phones, well i am actually very blur now and do not know whats going to happen if i use a sim unlocker too, this is my planning, use a sim unlocker first and wait for the unlock release, when its released unlock the phone and use back a normal digi sim card. anyone can give me any suggestion or advise? whats gonna happen if i use a sim unlocker? thanks in advance seniors. According to his previous post, he can't use yellowsnow. @lancerie Sorry mate. Not sure how we can help you. Keep trying and hope for the best. I think u need to do CPR to regain signal, if the sim unlocker is the same as the jphone's one, no harm trying right? QUOTE There might be the case you need to do CPR process in order to regain network signal. Here explains the CPR process:
- When you notice OUT or the word "圈外" appears and it doesn't automatically regain network signal, then you just passby a blindspot location which signal could not be recover. - Now power off the phone, remove the bypass SIM and your own SIM card from the phone. - Take your own SIM card and place on other normal phone (hereinafter called CPR phone) like Sony Ericsson, Nokia where you can get network signal when you slot in your own SIM card. If initially you can't get the network signal, go to your network search mode and choose manual, choose your network provider service there. Switch back to network search mode to automatic once you got the signal. - After regain network signal from the CPR phone, power off the CPR phone. - Now remove your own SIM card and insert back to the DoCoMo phone along with the bypass SIM.
The reception stability depends on locations and network providers.

Read the quote = = Remove ur sim from ur iphone, put in ANY phone ( CPR Phone ), let it get signal by its own, don't turn off the CPR phone, straight plug out battery and remove ur sim card, replace sim card with sim unlocker back into iphone u need 1 extra phone for that and everytime signal is lost

Anyway which Gevey model are u using currently? The latest is the Gevey 3G Plus 2 Version QUOTE GEVEY-3G PLUS 2 VERSION TAKING ORDERS
This is a upgraded version for firmware 2.2 and 2.21(modem 02.28.00/modem 2.30.03). It works perfectly for firmware 2.2 and 2.2.1 and just like our last version for firmware 2.1. Finally it is ready to sell.
*We can NOT garantee that will work on firmware 2.3 or later. Since it is not released yet.
The picture took from a real GEVEY-3G PLUS2 sim. And reviews from the net says Rebel is better than Gevey and can redetect signal after lost Sources : http://www.gevey-3g.com/http://www.modmyi.com/forums/unlocking-act...m-fw-2-2-a.htmlThis post has been edited by dailylulz: Feb 15 2009, 11:13 AM
