BREAKING NEWS The government has unveiled a RM60 billion stimulus package today as it attempts to arrest the export-driven economy's slide into recession   shocking.gif  RM60bn

big U turn from 10b to 60b ... sounds more like a mega bail out compared to a mini budget?

Oh joy for ValueCrap

"RM 10 Billion for equities....."

Can someone tell me what they'll plan to do with this money? buying shares via valuecaps?

I don't really agree with this, aren't putting money for infrastructure investment a better idea? For example, instead of using 1 billion to buy gamuda shares, i can use the 1 billion to extend the LRT, which will benefit the listed companies through the awards of projects?

It's like giving a fish, and teaching them to fish.

Nola its either cooked or stir fried or steamed according to taste and serve on a silver platter and fed by butlers to their mouth, someone is going to grow very fat... while the rest starve to death figuring out how to fish...

Not to bring any gloom and doom but just to put things in perspective......

Hope that with all the stimulus packages, it will not be like what happened previously....

i think more or less profit taking will do all the talking for the 1st half of the morning, wonder will profit taking spill over to 2nd session of trading...

Things to ponder about [rumours]

Plantation Outlook...

Current
there is an glut in the supply of CPO in the market, notwithstanding the weakening global demand.

Near Future
Oil is up but for how long?

Distant Future
Remember there was a steep drop in CPO price due to excess, those excess are now being circulated in the market, to compensate for low production cycle this year around. Coincidentally, the weather has not affected production too much, production is expected to recover quicker than expected... expect July Aug Sept Oct (Nov Dec 09 - this two months has consistently being the exception the very weakest months) contracts to be the weak. *weak meaning CPO prices at its lowest.

Side Notes...
Might be spikes in crude oil consumption especially in seasonal countries, possibly cushioning the fall of CPO prices?

Near future...
FCPO contract months April, May, Jun and July 09 are the months u have to track closely.

Somewhere in between the future?
Acquisition of smaller plantations are on the radars of major plantation owners...

*just sharing my perspective on the Plantaion and CPO outlook, use the information above at your own risk.

Proton loss back all the gain it got in mini budget... What a shame!
*
prsonally i think it was a failure to begin, it took them forever just to develop new vehicles and design... to add to the list of failures falling sales (be4 and after), bad service and a whole lot of gov intervention.

how to progress?!

VW was lucky it got rejected by the Gov, otherwise it might have to close shop being suxed down by proton as if it doesnt have enuf problem of its own.

its like a dying horse struggling with dear life, but its owner refuses to put it down, leaving it to die in agony..

To All Fellow trader, investor and speculator.

I have already committed entirely to this counter. This is my third time leverage that will be happening around this month or end of year. This is a extremely painful process while i have confident that it will shoot up after a long period.

Please give some comment.

Well the normal trend is, market goes green up 8 pts 8-10am .. by 11pm profit taking and needless to say market will slump. Yesterday's heavily selling today people r picking up the pieces.

unless of course there is some really good news that can really push the market all the way through beyond the 8 pts during opening... otherwise closing would be either 0.XX or 1.00 pt up or down depending.

Gd luck trading!

Resorts.

let it drop further, the further the better only than we will know where its actual bottom is.

if it keeps fighting to stay on current level without holding ground it will continue a long "painful" depreciating journey south.

It's ady a long "painful" depreciating journey from RM2.4 to RM1.83 for a company like this in such a short time  doh.gif

lol welcome to the stock market, nothing ever goes as plans btu if u have the marbles to withstand the impact should come out in one piece and probably more.

i bought at 2.4 and 2.01

manage to avg down to 2.0X, going to avg down somemore once i sell me TM.

From my persepective anyway, a stock with minimal gov intervention (in terms of ValueCrap and EPF) performs better and subject to market forces. The real push will come when FF starts buying up shares, if and when the eco recovers.

Should be an interestin counter to look out for.

If only Resorts stop holding the line and let it free fall...

***

Also on my radar is small cap plantation stocks expect stormy commodity prices ahead...

Lookin to target Ijmp, Hsp, rview.

Resorts
not forgetting the intraday low of 1.84 today...

today's close 1.92 is 1 cent lower compared to previous friday's close of 1.93.

If it cannot sustain above 1.91, possibly new more new lows to come since its already breach 1.84 during intra day and consistently headed south. To be on the safe side i think it will continue to hit 1.7X, middle is 1.6X and lowest 1.5X before a turn around is in sight.

Worse case scenario to throw in some action is actually 1.2X (1997 low)

the trend is quite simply like this, investors are just no interested at the market at all...

if market go up in the morning, sure heavy selling will follow...
*very rare market follow through and go all the way up to 11- 20 pts gain in one day*

if market steep drop, at least still can see some buying, but than again with a 40 pt gap between 800 and 700 this will really be the starting pt of a downward spiral to possibly a black hole.

KLSE will likely close or near to read. Volume too thin to sustain the increase.

The rule still valid. Dow = green : KLSE = red

Dow = red : klse = green

BEWARE!!!
*
our market special one, when dow is red klse is always green...

when down rally local markets rally, Klse is red..

sigh...

sit back enjoy the show

its called profit taking, see heavy buying in the afternoon again...

Ya.. agreed especially in big volume. Buy at the low price and sell when its up a bit. Can make thousands in intraday profits.
*
or the other way round, depends what ur strategy is...

i tried doing intra day... and i am horrible at it, i can feel the thrill of andrenaline rush but more likely than not make the wrong moves...

now i play for keeps and hope for return in the long run.... though if there shot term gains i dont mind cashing it in depending on what i bought.

Another factor is do u have enuf ammo?
can u avg down?
do u need the money urgently?
Is it your surplus or is it ur life savings...
how long can u hold a share?
