Its ok. That called opportunity cost. Had a chance to make quite a gain but lose nothing actually.
And always remember: "..when you missed the boat, the boat floats".. as in this case.  biggrin.gif

Any Genting shareholders here?

I observed that this counter has been going up slowly from last week's 3.180 and reached 3.380 today. Not bad ya.  smile.gif

QUOTE(cherroy @ Mar 19 2009, 09:01 PM)
Raising capital through bonds is better for shareholders as you don't need to fork out extra money, while you shareholding stake still intact.

Raising bond is much difficult than right issue because you need to prove you are financially sound in order for other to purchase it, while a losing money company also can issue right issue.

A losing money company or financially bad company has difficult to issue bond, the only way is through right issue.

Having said that, right issue is more favourable to the company financially, because they don't need to pay any interest or hold any liability on the money raised but at the expense of shareholders.
Btw, right issue is not exclusive to losing money company, don't get me wrong here.

So which one is better, up to how you see it.

Btw we are reaching 2500 posts, anyone please create a new V22 thread, and this V21 will come to an end.

The only thing I know, if Pbbank proposed a right issue, I can bet it will sink kau kau.

But behind this story, from Pbbank will be issuing new bond, so does RHB, it just mean banks are starting to fine the pinch of capital and potential NPL is worsening fast due to fast shrinking economy.

Electronic and Electrical industry Malaysia which is the core manufacturing sector is suffering bigtime with its IPI dropped more than 40% based on lastest statistic released, sum up the situation here.
*
I see. Does it mean that PBBANK's share prices won't dip or it will drop but not as much as if it were to propose a rights issue? hmm.gif

Yeah, somebody open V22..... V22 might just be the period where the bull returns..... errrr.... probably not... laugh.gif
