QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Feb 20 2009, 04:23 PM) Can muslims buy soft drinks from Supermarkets bcos Supermarkets are selling beers as well ? its totally different thought brother, Supermarket doesn't produce those drink they buy from producer and sale meanwhile carlsberg is the producer of the drinks. So do your muslim friends they come to your house can they eat your meal that is prepare for them? your wok already used to cooked non-halal meal all the while.Think out of the box, my dear friend. Well, a separate company could be set up for that.just my 2 cent, no offense I do not think Malaysia produces Cola Cola fresh from raw materials. It is imported ( finished goods ) and canned here. More importantly is the distribution channel. Of course, politicians do not know some cola cola shareholders are muslims. This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Feb 20 2009, 04:57 PM |

No to setup a new plant to costly and time consuming not worth, moreover its people mindset because of beer brand name is there and people will still think that wayI do not think Malaysia produces Cola Cola fresh from raw materials. ok if setting up a plant is not feasible and Cola would rather pair up with a brand that is already established in the market?
If for brand they might go after Nestle, DLady If for cost concern, go with th smaller Beverage producers... YHS Long shot though is... Carlberg, Guiness *speaking of which cola is very image sensitive, even though the brand is entrenched in every known human on this plan. Alcohol and beverage like cola simply don't mix. Cola is only selling two product (excluding sub sub sub brands liek diet coke) the major ones Cola & Sprit. Are this two products going to rake in the millions that would make it feasible for them to set up a plant in Malaysia? Finally come to think of it... In future most of our cola would be coming from prolly india, china even indonesia for that matter. Since opening a plant or passing out distributorships to F&N rivals isnt viable. Anyhow, YHS share price rise on tiny volume only and not significant, even any forumers buying also can push up the price already.
