is SB like the only place to get reasonable priced grass? any shops in particular to recommend? now that my hse reno is almost done, think i shud focus on the garden. but if i start planting the grass sparingly & it takes mths to grow, looks like i cant make it in time for the new year.

in tat case, perhaps i shall live with the common grass for now (& try to do somethin bout the botak patch since my contractor workers have been stepping & washin in that spot). any idea how to make the common grass grows fast?

got the quotation from the bangladeshi- philipine grass + labour= rm2 psft.. will see how they plant it later. definitely ask them apply sand before planting
*
i was quoted lump sum RM600 for 400+ sqft lawn area. incl lab cost + philipine grass + sand (approx 30 bags) from bangladeshi.
was advise by fren that I need to make sure that sand is at least 3" thick.

wonder if it is a good deal?

also, anythin tat i need to be weary of?

This is what I do. When I m lazy to maintain the grass, I don't put the fertilizer and water. It will grow slow and can last for many month. But the grass won't be green and nice. It will become yellowish and scattered.

But when I m not lazy, just fertilizer it and water. Between a month you can see your grass green and nice. But prepare to trim and hardwork.

You sound not that experience. Better leave the job to expert. This kind of money can't be save.

If you no experience, you can't get a nice garden as what you want.

Once the expert get your garden done, you can learn from them. In future, you can try it yourself in small scale.

hello. a bit of a question here. my philippine grass turns out good, with an exception of a few brown patch (more noticable after it's monthly trim) and a more brownish-spot where the sunlight(and rain) don't shine(hit).

Any idea what I can do to get those lushious green grass? Fertilizer? Water?

Just get the grass fetilizer, dilute with water and spray it. About few weeks, the brown patch will be grow back with green grass.

Sometime I have this problem too. Even larger patch. Reason unknown.

any particular fertiliser to use?
