QUOTE(madmoz @ Feb 16 2009, 04:37 PM) no need to fight lar fanboys... i recall reading somewhere that both samsung and sony's are one and the same.... Sony and Samsung uses the same panels (or a joint venture to produce the panels), The electronics/processors/software are proprietary to each company, this is where Sony trumpts Samsung. Sharp panels and electronics are all in-house developed. My sony TV runs a version of Linux, for the HD content of Japanese broadcast, and can be updated like Astro. lemme google a bit... here http://www.businessweek.com/globalbiz/cont...1128_546338.htm but personally me prefer sony, only because i am biased and dislike Korean stuff/brands. . . . could be because when i was a young teakwondo upstart, the korean federation sent some boys and girls over to Sabah to knock the stuffings out of us Good thing that I was a Karate-do upstart.. |

QUOTE(Aiko-chan @ Mar 17 2009, 05:16 PM) its determined by in japanese of nijigen and sanjigen. That would make a more accurate term or "ni den go ji gen", 2.5次元, 2d characters depicted in 3d figuresnijigen are non living creature as in anime /game char and those. sanjigen is humans. QUOTE(Aiko-chan @ Mar 17 2009, 06:27 PM) as i said, sanjigen is only refer to real life HUMANS. nothing related with anime/game world. figure are still under nijigen coz they are still non real life character. no matter they are in the shape of 3D or not, they are still under nijigen. jigen can be explained as WORLD or DIMENSION. nijigen is as in 2nd world, but not the dimension in art form. if you say so, nothing in anime can be called nijigen anymore. when make an anime, it requires 3D movement. doh. As define by Jp uncyclopedia... Figures and papercraft (and cg characters among others) are considered as 2.5jigen, just to point-out definition by some Japanese (Definition of which you or me may not agree on).... So you want to consider your figures as a 2nd world, fine. QUOTE(BeastX @ Mar 17 2009, 05:31 PM) ..... 2d characters depicted in 3d figures 2 dimensional (drawn on paper or acetate film or Computer) characters depicted (made/sculpted/moulded) in 3 dimensional figures.Original webby... http://ja.uncyclopedia.info/wiki/2.5%E6%AC%A1%E5%85%83 Babelfish translated link This post has been edited by BeastX: Mar 17 2009, 07:09 PM |
