You still can update to NXE without internet.

Download the update file from MicroSoft, extract and burn the files into a CD/DVD, place it into Xbox 360 to perform update.

They still give some love to Non-Live members, and of course, Jack Sparrows.

But i think u have to download the codec to play divx files separately. It did not come with NXE. U need internet connection to download the codec. Sorry if i'm wrong.

Nope, the movie codecs doesn't get updated as it seem. That's a huge disappointment, in fact many people complaint about it. I do not understand why they do not update perform a demanded update as such. shakehead.gif Nonetheless, you can still use Tversity program to stream unsupported video to your Xbox 360.

i got jasper too, updated to NXE, luckily no 3ROD, then update again the NXE to fix HDMI sound prob. again lucky no 3ROD,
but if u want to play movie, u hv to be signed-on, play the movie, then if movie ask for codec u say yes and it update the codec.
there is 2 option as far as i know, 1 is FREE codec update and 1 is pay. just get the FREE codec, after updates it lets me play divx movie,
but as i am an Anime Fan, naruto and Bleach cant be played (maybe codec issues) oh bummer,
but other avi can play. oh well sweet enuff. smile.gif

hv fun. peace.
