how long did your autocruise last? tongue.gif whistling.gif
besides, if your car has tons of low-end torque, you wont worry bout autocruising, just feather the pedal, the car is able to easily run up and down hills.

Interestingly, the Autocruise on my old Satria is STILL working! sweat.gif biggrin.gif

good for you then, then again, the reason why they probably did not include it in the manual version is to save cost, and the range of auto cruise speeds isn't really viable.
*
Yeah, I know what U mean, man... Have you ever tried a manual car with autocruise? I gotta tell you, it gets pretty unnerving when it tries to accelerate up to the set velocity during a highway cruise... sweat.gif

I have a question I hope some of you guys can help. I believe I has spotted 2 trailers of Proton CPS on the Subang Airport root. After looking at the brochure there is a mild difference that I spotted. The styling is the same however the cars that I saw had those GTI like allen key on the side flares. Is there a CPS variation is my question...
*
If you look at the leaked brochure carefully, U can see those "Allen Key" on the wheel arches...

Twice the tensile strength most likely they're comparing Neo and the mitsu based Satria. I don't think the extra power from the CPS warrants a stronger chassis compared to the non CPS variant.
*
The Satria Neo uses the same platform as the old Satria, mate...

But Paul Tan says it doesn't:

QUOTE( PaulTan.org)
The Proton Satria Neo is an all new platform developed from scratch. It is not based on the Waja/Gen2 chassis or the old Satria chassis.

QUOTE(CooShyRee @ Feb 13 2009, 02:48 PM)
i agree wit u..

actually, kinda think of it, nearly 1300kg is kinda heavy 4 a small 2 door hatch like this which has not much equipments in it.. sweat.gif
nope.. the staria neo is an all new platform actually..
*
Strange, 2 contradicting facts... According to Autocar Asean and Cars. My, the Satria Neo is based on the old Satria/Mitsu Colt platform... I am confused now... rclxub.gif

really?? ive read in couple of places b4 that proton developed a brand new platform 4 the neo..
*
QUOTE(kev da man @ Feb 13 2009, 03:16 PM)
the neo itslef was based off the waja. and in the neo CPS, the chassis has been reinforced, hence higher kerb weight.
*
OK, I'm even more confused now... rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

moon, not the design, but parts of the platform was adapted from the waja.

QUOTE(moon* @ Feb 13 2009, 04:50 PM)
lol.. tats y he confused lo. sweat.gif

i m guessing he thought the design or something like tat is from the waja tongue.gif
*
Actually, no, I was confused about the parts of the platform coming from the Waja, not the design from the Waja... I got confused becoz I read from 2 mags saying that the Satria Neo was based on the Mitsu Colt platform... I could've remembered wrongly, I'll go back and check those mags again...

Anyway, the Waja is based on the Mitsu Charisma/Lancer platform...

lmao XD
vanquish, even if it was based on the colt, it would be the new colt, but i do not remember the neo has the same underpinnings as a smart forfour.... (colt and forfour has same floorpan and basic chassis)

proton designed the neo from ground up with some technologies borrowed from the waja, and it could be anything as no one has no clue unless you talk to a proton engineer, so relax la, the neo has an updated chassis for the millennium XD
*
LOL... Cool, kev, thanks for the clarification... biggrin.gif
