For my PL20 i usually use the mid-size eartips. But everytime i put it into my ears, i always feel like the right-side didn't give as good of a seal as the left-side.

And no matter how much i try to twist and turn it, i still feel the same. Then i would just give up and leave it as it is and it feels really awkward.

However i don't have any such problem with my other iems tho.
*
I find that to happen quite abit with some brands of IEMs (especially those with generally lower QC, not pointing out names, but generally China made ones)

Try to request for an exchange if that happens. Swap the sleeve from right to left and see if its the sleeve causing problems or just the IEM's tip causing the problem. I believe the seller will allow an exchange if the IEM's causing the problem. smile.gif Do remember as IEMs extend into the ears, even the tiniest out-of-range built, if not detected during QC will already cause discomfort while wearing it.

Can please comment @ http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1048903&hl=
Thanks.

Hehe. I am in no position to give you any real advise on that, best if you can talk with the seller and come out with a best compromise for the both of you.

Good luck! smile.gif

QUOTE(hirari @ Jun 22 2009, 06:26 PM)
Thanks for the advise. smile.gif

Another thing that i notice regarding the problem with my PL20 is that when i used sleeves from a different iem (i.e Sony), the problem seem to be gone and i feel no discomfort.

Even so, is the possibility of the iem built being out-of-range could still be present?
*
Try swapping the positions of the sleeves to see if the sleeves are giving problems or the IEM itself is giving problems first. smile.gif Still abit vague to conclude right here.

Well, if other sleeves *might* have provided better seal/sound quality without the problem, maybe thats a calling from God so that you'll change your stock sleeves to other sleeves! biggrin.gif

How they know what is the item's value ler?
*
When you post it other countries you need to declare the item's value, some courier companies make it a must before they'll allow item dispatch. biggrin.gif (if not mistaken lah)
Some people put declarations so if anything goes missing, at least insurance is there and they can claim back the money.

Of course you can underdeclare, but if anything happens to the parcel, good luck have fun.

As for bringing it back by hand, as long as you don't bring alot, usually the Kastams won't bother. Unless you're like.. Bringing 20+ headphones, in new retail box somemore, then of course they'll suspect and start questioning. biggrin.gif

Can anyone recommend me some good headphones under RM100 (Well under USD30)? Was thinking of asking a friend in America to help me test and buy the KSC75, but I saw Newegg reviews saying the clipon style is not good for people wearing glasses and the earclips are easy to lose....
*
Hi fellow Nottingham minion. laugh.gif

Try out the Philips SHP2700 which you can easily get locally. smile.gif You strictly want headphones only? Not trying out any earbuds or IEMs?

How about the Koss PortaPro? Any good vs KSC75 or Senn PX100? Anythingbutipod review says PX100 >> PortaPro and KSC75. True/false?
*
Not big la. biggrin.gif Can be easily made into a pair of trash cans under RM100 (usually RM80 in Lowyat), just hang it around your neck and go around. laugh.gif

Recabled KSC75 anytime sounds better than the PX100 and the PortaPro, though I would suggest you to try the PortaPro if you don't have access to the KSC75. But frankly speaking, the PortaPro has a layer of overbloated bass which *may* not appeal to you.

Wanna use in libraries ah.. Hmm.. I could reco you the Beyerdynamic DT231, closed portable, warm sounding, easy to bring around, though I haveta say the price is abit higher than your budget ;ah.

Grab it. wink.gif used to be mine. laugh.gif

Seller should be able to COD around Kajang KTM as well, unless he changed his assigned work place la.

I wouldn't actually recommend the KSC75/Protapro for library studying as they leak pretty badly. As for recabling specifically the KSC75, PcWork can do it for you, his special homebrew cabling, so don't worry bout any of that. wink.gif

PS: You got contacts in US? laugh.gif

The KSC-75 is easy to drive. Not sure about the Beyerdynamics......

If your budget is enough for the KSC-75, then it's definitely the best for that kind of money. Nothing can come close to it. Maybe you should buy mine, I might consider selling whistling.gif Not enough bass for me, and I can't listen to them loud in the office coz everyone else can hear it tongue.gif

laugh.gif

My ex KSC75 as well? laugh.gif

PS: ArianneG, might have a unit of Sansa Clip+ up for sales soon depending on circumstances. smile.gif Also, you might not want to have the KSC75 in KTM/LRT as ya, as well as they leak, they take in outside noise quite well, so you'd be hearing lots of things.

Oh, forgot to reply your PM pulak. >_<

Got it for a couple of weeks already actually, but quite unhappy with the battery life, hopefully mine is just a lemon unit though.
I've tried driving the HD650 with the Clip+, yes, you can crank the volume up enough, however it doesn't sounds good la. laugh.gif

How is the clip + battery life? Maybe you just use it a lot or something?

Hurm.. I am getting around 7 hours a couple minutes extra on 128kbps mp3, which in my opinion is terrible. 5 hours for FLAC. Well, hopefully mine is just a lemon unit. Getting it exchanged soon.

5 hours of FLAC need how much storage space? Thanks. smile.gif

Roughly 2.5~3GB on a rough estimation basis. smile.gif Depending on the compression method used.

Again, I stress, my unit may be a lemon unit. smile.gif
