Haha.. Bro u r way out of topic la.. topic is budget earphone ler.. tongue.gif  tongue.gif
I just do some comparison on Phonak & Re-2
and I found that Phonak got a more sweet high n mid n RE2 got analytical treble..
Phonak's bass is better than RE2
*
Kinda unfair, considering Phonak is at least 3 times more expensive than the RE2 tongue.gif But yeah, surely RE2 is excellent value for money. The bass leaves a lot to be desired, but highs and mids are just lovely smile.gif

wooo.. i like ur words.. haha
but I think i more prefer BA.. UM3X.. haha
yep.. bass lite..
I think very hard to compare wif ur Future Sonics Atrio M5 tongue.gif  tongue.gif
At first, when I received My RE2.. I was totally shock.. How come I cant feel any bass at all (compare wif EP 630)..
After burn in about 80 hours, now become better abit..
I like to use it to listen Celine Dion, Olivia ong those song..   laugh.gif  laugh.gif
I also let my friend tried it.. He like it very much and he said the bass is like clear bass type
*
RE2 bass is totally dependant on the seal. If you don't get a good seal, you get zero bass.

Anyways, thanks to the RE2 I know that I need bass biggrin.gif I guess it was obvious considering I listen to mainly metal, but was way too itchy and tried out the RE2 anyways despite knowing how bass-lite it is. Atrios here I come!! tongue.gif

And I find it weird that people recommend RE2+E5. Sure it helps with the bass, but it also amps the treble to a point where I get headaches listening to them too long. Or maybe it's just me...

guys. needed opinions from u guys. I am in need of a sub-rm300 IEM that gives SUPERBASS that could hammer my head, but of course not too flooded vocals and sound quality on the brighter side.

any suggestions?
*
Just realised....there really isn't any superbass IEMs in your price range....you can either go for cheap IEMs (<RM100) with reasonably strong bass like EP-630 or Soundmagic PL-11. If not, you're already looking at at least RM500 for a set of Atrios, Monster Turbines and X10 (not sure? Supposedly also a bassy IEM)

em, actually Klipsch Image X10 is not that cheap xD Unless you get a 2nd hand unit, also not within that price range  sweat.gif

Interesting, always heard about the strong bass of Atrio m5, however I do read the the atrio's clarity is not that gd, which reminds me of the Creative EP630, strong bass but sound muffled that kind of issue?

If you like bass, the JBL Reference 220 is kinda gd, do urself a favour and look up this IEM, reviews aren't bad.

Well, I don't have my Atrios yet, but I chose it based on a lot of feedback saying that it has good quality bass without sacrificing too much clarity unlike most bassy IEMs. I'm not too worried, because I already own two cheap earphones, the PK3 and PL-11 that has thumping bass and good clarity. Surely the USD200 Atrios can't sound any worse than both of them biggrin.gif

Well.....IMO

PK3 - Good amount of bass but lacking in clarity. I had to EQ Treble Booster to get a clearer sound. Frankly, the one and only time I've ever used Treble Boost. E5 amp doesn't do much, bass boost just muddies up the bass even more.

PL11 - Slightly less bass but much better clarity. Great synergy with E5 amp - bass boost on. A good overall IEM with better bass than average.

If the E5 doesn't give much improvement, just don't use it. Since I got my Atrio, I have preferred NOT using the E5. Yes, the crappy iPod headphone out sounds almost as good as line out -> E5.

Admittedly, there is a slight improvement in clarity, but not enough to justify the hassle of carrying an amp around smile.gif

laugh.gif Two friends studying there now-- one of whom is willing to help me buy stuff, even asked me last year if I needed a new pair of sport shoes (since my favoured and really battered pair came from US-- Avia running shoes)!

Actually I already have a pair of Philips clip-ons, design similar to the KSC75 (Philips SHS4700/37), but I'm looking to upgrade equipment. Still that pair of earphones is REALLY comfy-- some kind of soft silk-looking material covering firm cushy pads, and SQ is fair.

The Beyerdynamic 'phones would be fabulous to replace my poor aging Philips cans ()-- those had nice SQ and were a steal at only RM20. biggrin.gif

So I'm looking for KSC75 for running around and listening on LRT/KTM-- and also I don't spend much time in the library. Headphones mostly for running around on the street, and for listening at home since speakers are on campus and not in house bedroom.
*
Any open-type like earbuds, clip-ons, headphones are almost impossible to use on LRT/KTM/Bus. I used to use earbuds on a bus and had to turn up the volume like 90% just to hear the music. Heck even with IEMs, I still hear a little bit of outside noise but not as bad as others.

And yes, KSC-75 leaks like hell. If you don't mind letting other people on the LRT know what you're hearing, I guess it's ok. biggrin.gif

The KSC-75 is easy to drive. Not sure about the Beyerdynamics......

If your budget is enough for the KSC-75, then it's definitely the best for that kind of money. Nothing can come close to it. Maybe you should buy mine, I might consider selling whistling.gif Not enough bass for me, and I can't listen to them loud in the office coz everyone else can hear it tongue.gif

Sorry for the trouble, but can you list down some places that sell these? Perhaps shops around the KL area, what about Lowyat? I have not been out shopping for goods for quite some time now so i wouldn't know where to get good IEMs.
*
Let's just put it this way. None of the IEMs worth mentioning are available in Malaysian shops biggrin.gif Even if there are, they'd be way overpriced tongue.gif

To answer your question:
Soundmagic - in Garage Sales there are at least 2-3 sellers. Search there. Most have ready stock and you can just COD with them.
NE-7M - Amazon. You can either order direct, or tumpang one of the many Amazon bulk orders in Garage Sales. They do charge a bit steep though....but you do get your product easier.

My ex KSC75 as well? laugh.gif
PS: ArianneG, might have a unit of Sansa Clip+ up for sales soon depending on circumstances. smile.gif Also, you might not want to have the KSC75 in KTM/LRT as ya, as well as they leak, they take in outside noise quite well, so you'd be hearing lots of things.
*
Yup, hahaha tongue.gif I guess I'm not someone who likes to own many earphones, I mean they're great, but I still prefer to use my Atrios way more biggrin.gif

What's lemon unit? haha..

sansa fuze is better than sansa clip + in terms of price/performance ratio, agree?
*
That's quite interesting, as clip+ and fuze is said to have very similar SQ due to the same chip used. And price wise fuze is slightly more expensive but not by much.

I think that choosing fuze or clip+ is a matter of taste. If you like video and easier browsing, fuze is the way. If you want something small enough to put in your pocket, clip+ it is. Either way, you win biggrin.gif
