Nice post up bro.
I owned EP-630 and been using it for a few months. I think that Creative's earphone is quite worth for the price you pay for.

Of course, it somewhat lose to Mylarone Bijou.

My take:

* Creative EP-830 (http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/935201) - 630's upgrade with better clarity & bass.
* LEAR Le01 (http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/914036)
* CrossRoads MylarOne Bijou (http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/776764) - one of the most frequently discussed IEM here.
* CrossRoads HR1 or HR2 (http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=850712) - should be good stuff but they're not IEM
* Philips SHE 9850 (http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=664579) - sexy pair of earphone, heard it performs better than Bijou!

No idea bout the LEAR Le01, u can refer to ClieOS's review on the link given. He's a guru in IEM.

I made a comparison between EP-630 & Bijou, you can read it here if u like:

The Philips looks hot, am considering on my list for the next upgrade list after Bijou. laugh.gif

Shure earphones are high-end stuffs, good one can cost more than 1k which is quite crazy consider that I only willing to invest max RM 300 for earphone (higher budget for headphone).

Artistic impression? Perhaps partially true. But once you hear the better sound quality, you wouldn't want to hear the old ones laugh.gif.
For example, I seldom use my EP-630 once I got my Bijou. brows.gif

FiiO E5 amp is a good start, and it's not so expensive (~RM 90 include postage).
I'm considering getting it soon.

i still waiting to confirm for the Fiio E5 amp, but from what i read it's quite good to be paired up with IEM. big cans however, may not benefit much from this portable amp though.

so far my Bijou sounded very nice to me, so it's either purely personal preference or the built quality of the earphone itself.

How does PL11 compare to EP 630 and Mylar bijou?

Recently there was this earphone too..erm.. LEAR LE01? Anyone tried it?
*
not sure about PL11's signature (you can refer to the others who're discussing it here), but my bet is Bijou is the best SQ IEM in the list.

I prefer Bijou4's clarity than PL20's, and bass-wise I prefer Bijou4's.
EP-630, clarity and mid losses to PL20.

LEAR LE01, is a nice ~RM 100 IEM but so far didn't heard about it as the bulk has closed.

yes I find Bijou4's bass better than PL20's.

used "Drink Up Me Hearties" from Pirates of Caribbean 3 OST, 320kbps to test the 2 earphones. this song only sounded nice if the bass is good enough. PL20 is no match compared to Bijou4.

added in an E5 amp might change the story though, that's when the PL20's bass shows itself, but still not as good as Bijou.

anyway, PL20 does quite well in treble with vocals, i would say slightly worse than Bijou but given the price it's quite good for it.
