QUOTE(kysham @ Feb 15 2009, 06:41 PM) Focus is most probably jammed. The service centre in Midvalley should be able to handle this problem. Send it to them lah. Should be OK. Still under warranty right? yup still under warranty, not yet 2 months. but my problem is i won't be going to kl in near future. |

QUOTE(albnok @ Feb 15 2009, 08:26 PM) suchap69, you can send it to your local dealer but they also need to send it to Sony Service Center in Midvalley Northpoint. thanks to albnok n kyshamOf course, if you can find an otai camera repair shop, they will be able to fix it. Most Sony lenses are very simple internally as it's based on the Minoltas without SSM or electronic aperture control. It's probably some grit stuck in the focusing helicoid (the metal screw inside.) maybe i'll go to kl this coming school holiday to repair the lens......... KL here i come............... |

i hope any new model with LV will have swiveling screen not just flippable screen, it will help a lot when shooting at ground level in potrait/vertical position.
maybe i'll send this suggestion to sony directly and wait for my free A800 (for my valuable input). .................wishful thinking, hahahah |

i got these thru the internet, was killing time by searching for internet freebies and free samples.
i went to 3M us site and fill some details and they sent me these. the vikuiti they say can remove reflections and glare. the appropriate application are for lcd panel and other display appliances. wondering if i can use it as some sort of polariser for my alpha. no time to tinker now.... i'll update later about what i use these films for |

QUOTE(millenia3000 @ Mar 5 2009, 09:49 PM) time lapse photog is like u take a series of pics then string them together to make short clips. like u see the moving sky or sorts. do search at TiubAwak to see examplesi know the easiest way is to do it manually, where u snap the picture manually on ur own interval. but i'm wondering if there is any intervalometer for alpha or previously for minolta so that we can automate the whole picture taking process. iianm, to make a 10 seconds clips framed at 30 fps u'll required about 300 pics snapped. thats a lot of snapping to do manually and timed correctly |
