So how do you guys differentiate a Grey imported flashgun from the local warranty one?

If your primary is interior, then definitely either A350/A300 with wide angle lens. I'm using A300 myself cause doesn't find much use to pay extra for A350.

I'm going for flash 1st then lens. Shoot alot of Night events and indoor stuff.

Since we're talking about flash and tripod, might as well ask some sifus here.

Here's some shot I took during last year event, I'm going to shoot similar things soon but with F58 this time.

That time still new, scare pictures came out bad so just shoot without thinking much. One day took around 600 shots from morning 10am to 10pm, battery dry end of the day.

Now the here comes the question,

1. Do we use direct flash or bounce it?
2. If bounce, use build in bounce card, light sphere or demb diffusers?
3. Any guide on white balance? Quite tricky especially near to stage, the stage light kept changing.

Still learning a lot of stuffs, read a lot but can't remember all. Really need to shoot more so can imprint all the stuff I read in my mind.

Thx for the thorough guide mike. Hoping for more inputs.

Need to put more work on compositions also, look through alphanatics event trade. The shots I need to take a little different, for client one so need to include a lot of those sponsors logo and backdrop.

Hmm I got problem with my F58 oh, can't seem to get it working.

How do I set it up? Just slide it in the hotshoe then should be working already right?

I rub the camera hotshoe with shirt also not working. That time I tried eddy's f58 on my camera also same thing >_<

ya it wont fire, the camera doesn't seem to detect the flash I guess.

Got it fixed already, This is the tenth time I rub the contact with my shirt and finger, finally it works.

rub..rub...rub..... genie genie, I also want macro lens.
