hey shootkk..my sifu... long time no see...  laugh.gif
btw wht do u think of SAL18250/16105/CZ1680/tammy1750? im so confused..
*
i think i know wat shotkk bro will reply to u tongue.gif..

"wat photo style u are mostly into" a good photographer will know wat lens wat he want so in the end he/she will use the lens n not just simpan2 ..

u always zoom2 n need wide go for SAL18250 or 16105,
u always shoot at night n need constant F, go for 1750 2.8
CZ1680 is best kitlen replacement but not constant f..

is up to u bro

shootkk, there might be other differences with the 50mm F1.8 DT which we don't know about. Hopefully, it will have a closer minimum focus distance than the standard 50mm lenses, which have always been 45cm close (the Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM and Nikkor AF-S 50mm F1.4G too!)

The Pentax DA 55mm F1.4, an APS-C only lens, also has a 45cm MFD. Bummer. Though Sigma has a knack of making close-focusing APS-C lenses e.g. 17-70mm F2.8-4.5 DC and 18-50mm F2.8 DC both focus to 20cm close.

The wider a lens is, the closer they can make the MFD - the Nikkor AF-D 35mm F2.0 has a very sweet 25cm MFD. The Nikkor AF-S 35mm F1.8G has a 30cm MFD which is quite potong stim la.

There are some M42 lenses out there that go real close and still do F1.8 - the Carl Zeiss Jena Pancolar Electric 50mm F1.8, for example, does an impressive 35cm close, while the Pentacon 50mm F1.8 does 33cm close. I really hope Carl Zeiss teaches Sony a thing or two about making close-focusing record-beaters.

That said, if you just need a F1.8 on a budget, you can't go wrong with the 50mm F1.8 DT. Yes, you can't use it on full-frame... but by the time you have an A900 you'll be putting a full-frame 50mm F1.4 on it. biggrin.gif

noprob, I had the O-ME53. Good for APS-C cameras but I was broke when getting the A900 so I sold mine. sad.gif
