I came across this LCD in HSL Circuit City and it looks cool. But the strange is that the "Pixel Plus 2 HD" engine produce a trail of "water effect" for moving objects. I search the internet and it seems like Philips Pixel Plus 2 HD is famous for that effect which many say was a serious flaw. However, What Hifi say the LCD pictures looks great with the Pixel Plus 2 HD and all other effects turn off.

Anyone here using the 47" Philips? mind to share your opinions?

say if something like a person is moving on the screen, the those movement would create a trail that look like water. Its very obvious.

Review summary: Its 28.9-billion color palette is a strong pro, thought the new HD Natural Motion engine fails to live up to our expectations.

Pros: Sharp and punchy DVD and HD visuals; revealing shadow details; good standard-definition upscaling; plenty mid-bass presence; streamline LCD bezel; triple 1080p24-ready HDMI; affordable.

Cons: Motion blurring and artifacts with HD Natural Motion, less than ideal PC support; buggy pixel-to-pixel aspect ratio setting; single component-video.

Verdict: We like the Philips 47PFL5403's wide viewing angle, rich colors and shadow detail, but not its questionable motion-enhancing HD Natural Motion engine.

What Hifi reviews says they try different picture settings but eventually turn of everything to get the best pictures.

Just play anything and as long as there is any moving things on the screen, there will be a "motion artifact"(cnet call it - Motion blurring and artifacts with HD Natural Motion).

If the features can be turn off and the HD picture is great with great viewing angles, then this might be a great bargain FULL HD LCD.

I read about someone here in the PS3 forum using this LCD so I hope he could share his opinions before I buy it.
