When Cobb met them, they were 3 years and 20 months! Check the credits at imDB.com for evidence. I'll leave it up to you guys to debate out what this will mean for the movie, and possible sequels.

But I can't quite remember if their conversation on the phone was a dream sequence or not, but it's most likely not IMHO.
