I remember the davy jones locker concept. Was freaky to see so many Jack Sparrow's though.
I like it because of how the tale is weaved. And i ended with my own ending which is rare for directors to give such a power. Would love to see The Other Guys on the top spot considering how Will ferrell and Mark Walhberg are performing for the movie. All thanks to Adam McKay. haha. |

QUOTE(True Parallels @ Aug 6 2010, 12:04 PM) I've seen it 5 times here, 6th this weekend. There are many recurring things to note as to why i think he's in a dream... I've read also. And I've read the theories you posed."Taking a leap of faith with me" mentioned by saito / Mal, and other people. "When are you coming back to reality" mentioned by Michael Caine after a long pause and look at Cobb. Mal realising that she was in a dream, thus 'taking a leap of fatih with me' at the ledge scene brings her back to the TRUE reality. They never showed her death on the street floor, But they showed other deaths consistently and clearly throughout the movie. Narrow corridor escape in Mombassa, with Saito conveniently appearing at the end of the tunnel of light is very reminiscent of a very common dream. Well many other significant things, but im sure its been beaten to death lol These to me are the most compelling items that make me think he's in a dream. Watch it more, and you'll be even more convinced that it was a dream. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

Its funny though.
I know I can watch this movie a 2nd or third time. But somehow it just doesn't motivate me anymore to go for it. Kinda weird when i really think this is one of the best offerings this year (besides Kick-Ass and my biased The A-Team. I don't know. Its not that the world started discussing or something, but I guess maybe its just habit. who knows eh? True, dude, I gotta say sorry if my post sounded serious since I didn't include any smileys. |

QUOTE(b3ta @ Aug 6 2010, 09:08 PM) exactly. and since limbo is a state of unrestrained dreams i'd expect it to be more of a mess and since the person in limbo should be confused as shit and wouldnt know they're in a dream it doesnt make sense that ariadne could just leave so easily. if level 4 was limbo it would make limbo look like just another level. cos they way they were talking about limbo in level 1, it sounded like it was a death trap. Considering how you say its like a mess, i like to take the idea that crumbling buildings next to the beach is that mess. |

QUOTE(hairyLGS @ Aug 11 2010, 09:39 AM) Yeah, but not so soon. I'm more adamant at the comics though. need to publish my review asap when I am free (Totally not free for movies at all this month.)It actually surprises me that WB has not announced BD yet for this movie. I guess they're really milking the cinemas. haha. |

QUOTE(jenniferjen @ Aug 12 2010, 10:12 AM) I was thinking, why inception is so hard to do, they do explain it, but i cant really get what they really mean. Provided you can infiltrate someone's dream and they believe that they are not dreaming. haha. If not, then tough luck. For me, is totally possible, like how i infiltrate your dream, and tell you tomorrow Sport Toto first grand prize is this number, and when you wake up, i am 100% sure you are going to go buy the number. Wasn't that call inception? I put an idea into you, you believe is true and do it in reality? What so hard about inception? lol But I do believe dreams have a very big effect in yourself that drives and motivates you to do things that you may not even realize. |

QUOTE(dlct87 @ Aug 14 2010, 03:17 PM) well in the movie planting an idea is In other words, when you say "don't think about elephants", for sure you'd be thinking it already. But you know its someone else who asks you to think about it, and its not ur original idea.impossible (according to Arthur): what will you think, if i tell you "don't think about elephant"? "bloody difficult" (according to Eames): seed which is too complex won't be accepted definitely possible (according to Cobb): just need to go deep enough so combining all, planting an idea cannot be done in superficial layers and too complex, or else the subject's mind will reject the idea Hence Cobb saying that "just need to go deep enough". Seriously, if we can cook up an idea that no one else was capable before, we'd be really holding that grasp of idea and be really motivated to get it going. hence, Inception. |
