Lately i have been having glitches on my GHWT guitar controller. It is as though i played missed notes. At first i though that sometimes my timing in hitting the notes were not right (although it seemed right to me). But i finally concluded there was something wrong with the guitar. At one time at the beggining of a song before any guitar notes roll down, i would suddenly get missed notes until the song abruptly ended. And i didn't even stump a single note!

I bought the game about 3 weeks ago, but I only indulge in the game during weekends. That is why I only noticed it recently.

Anybody experiencing the same? Is there anything I can do? I can't send it back to activition, can I?

Well. it has been more then a month since i bought my guitar. It is frustrating that after spending so much money, i can't still enjoy the game to its fullest. Everything went well for the first week, but it was downhill from there. The phantom notes i posted about is now least of my problems. Now there is a new problem, the down strum bar won't work! It started subtlely, but after the 3rd week, 50% of my down strum notes can't register.

Since the warranty is practically useless here in this region, i decided to DIY. I opened up my guitar. You will need Torx T-10 screwdrivers (normal phillips screwdriver won't do). There are 2 switches to strum up and down. Conclusion is the down switch is really busted, Even by clicking the switch with my fingers the down strum will not register in the game. The up switch has no problem. So, the next thing i did is research about the switch. Looks like I am not alone! Here are the url link to the problem and the solution (there is a solution!).

Ok, now that i know there is a solution, where can i purchase the "SPDT Switch without roller"? Maybe i can get it from the electronics hardware store. Will do some research and post my findings later. Meanwhile, appreciate help fom this forum on this. Thanks!

As for the "phantom" notes, well i can live with that i guess. I noticed as long as you NEVER touch the touchpad slider, the problem won't happen. I think the slider is too overly sensitive. So, i just need to unlearn not to use the slider. I don't believe how can the hardware be so substandard in quality. Is very dissapointing that up to now i can't fully enjoy this exciting game.
