hi there

I am looking for a laptop as below. I m thinking to buy 1 sometime in November. Saving money now... blush.gif
I have also seen some promotion from Lowyat plaza. They are giving away free gifts like LOCK, USB HUB 2.0 , MOUSE, COOLER, KEYSAVER, CLEANER & HEADSET & External DVD Burner.
The one that you are selling, is it same as ASUS Eee PC 1005HA (Seashell) according to the site, its weight is 2.8 pounds. Some of the lowyat brochure states it is only 1.0kg. Is your model same as the hyperlink n lowyat?
Stock available, what are you best offer?

I am currently staying in Penang but sometimes do travel down to KL. I was thinking it is better to buy the laptop from Penangite. Should there is any warranty, claims or other issue, could be done easier.

ASUS EEEPC 1005HA RM1499
Intel CPU & Chipset : Intel® Atom N280
Display : 10” LED Backlight WSVGA screen (1024x600)
Operating System : Genuine Windows® XP Home

Wireless Data Network : 802.11 b/g/n
Bluetooth : Yes
Storage : 160GB
Camera : 1.3M Pixel
Audio : Hi-Definition Audio CODEC / Stereo speaker / Mic
Storage Cards : MMC, SD(SDHC)
Input / Output : VGA x 1 (D-sub 15-pin for external monitor)
Input / Output : USB 2.0 x 3 / LAN RJ-45 x 1

Dear all,
I just bought a new Asus K50IN, but i just notice that the total physical memory capture in the system properties is only 3.5G of RAM (supposingly is 4.0GB RAM)
Is the graphic card share memory with the system, or it is using its own graphic card memory?
If it is not shared, then where's the other 0.5GB of RAM gone?

Asus K50IN ----- RM2599
CPU & Chipset : Intel 6500 2.1GHz
Display : 15.6" LED
Operating System : Free Dos
Memory : 4GB (DDR2 800 x 2)
Graphic : Nvidia Geforce G102M 512MB VRAM
Wireless Data Network : 802.11 b/g
Bluetooth : Yes
Storage : 320G 5400 SATA
Camera : 1.3M Pixel
Audio : Hi-Definition Audio CODEC / Stereo speaker / Mic
Optical Drive : DVD-S-Multi
Storage Cards : 8 in 1 card reader
Finger Print : No
Warranty : 2 Years Global / Battery + Adapter 12 Months

i would like to add something,
if i am not mistaken, my fren told me.
this laptop has 512MB dedicated graphic memory, but can be UP TO 1.75GB SHARED MEMORY.
so, maybe the other 512MB goes to your graphic memory.
because there are other forumers use Vista 32bit, the system properties still show ram 4GB.

Nope. they din mention anything. I'm using Windows XP SP2 actually. Is WinXP OS only available in 32 bits, and all 32 bits OS only can support up to 3.5GB of RAM max?

So you are saying that the my graphic memory might becoming 1GB memory (512 from graphic memory + 512 Shared memory)? Where can I check this?

yeap. its true that xp 32bit only can support to 3.5GB max. no more than that.
for graphic memory, yes its true also. my ram is 2GB but its only show 1.75GB, means my additional 256MB goes to graphic memory.
for example, this picture show my spec
Attached Image

for winXP, u can just right click on your my computer properties if i am not mistaken.

p/s: this is WTS topic. its not nice to discuss it here. better u go to this official Asus K40AB topic:
