are u sure this is single card score? i guess it was hd4870 in CF mode, a single hd4870 wont get this mark..

Doubtful about your card result, my 4870 oc to 840/1100 gpu only 10905 n my cpu 14002, refer my signature for my setup.

with same processor speed and card, i get less than 10k only in vantage

Bro, how come your cpu score so low, even at 4.5g, my at 3.42g cpu score at 14000+

With MSI Afterburner 1.4.1 you can OC more than the CCC limit of 775mhz.

I OC'ed my HD5850 up to 900mhz @ 1.15v with reference cooler. Stable on Furmark.

Benched it on 3DMark Vantage:


To answer your question, the HD5850 can be potentially OC to 1ghz with stock cooling, but very noisy because you must pump up the fan up to 60%+ with LOAD temps @ 75c-80c on Crysis Warhead and Furmark...
It's already been done here in LYN by couple of guys really. (including me )

But nowadays I've done no OC'ing whatsoever when gaming because this card is good enough to play most of the games available today without any OC'ing.....

max stable oc for asus eah5770?? roughly, oc'ing can gain how much extra framerates in games?

guys how about 5870? rivatuner or msi afterburner?

with stock cooling or coz mine is gigabyte hd5870 =)
