Some router has access restrictions - only certain MAC address can be allowed to connect.. but normally the default setting would be allow all.. you turn on mac filtering..

It shouldnt have any effect to make it faster etc, only allows you to make the connection.

However if you do have QoS etc set on the router some routers allow you to give priority traffic to certain packets going to certain MAC addreses etc.. depends on what ur using..

I use MAC to make sure my housemates dont consume all the bandwidth for our shared connection..  sweat.gif

haha sorry for multipost cause stupid internet connection on my tube..hehe..btw,i think its safer to update it in nokia centre right?cause wat u said just now,if i do it myself i must change a code that will void the warranty..btw,if i go there the update is free right?should i bring any card?n fyi,i not yet pos the warranty card to nokia..hehe..but i can still update it for free right?

if you change the product code then update v20 then change back to original product code then it will not void ur warranty.

change the product code just for upgrading firmware then change back to original code. that all
*

ic..but aiyo scared my tube will brick or anything la..at least if ncc brick my tube i can shout at them n ask for replacement..hahahaha..btw,if i still not yet pos the warranty card to zitron,i can still update it for free right?and wat else should i need to bring?
