Games technology: Can be viable, look at WoW's amount of players, look at Apple's game programming it becomes a necessity instead of a luxury now adays
E-Commerce: Its quite dead with frauds and highly competitive nature, wont be viable unless new revolutionary technology pops up
IT: secure your livelihood first and worry about your life later

my 0.0002 cents would be, to study in fields that you have interest and used that as a basis for field hopping
alot of ppl arent doing what they graduated as, i know some engineers now holding regional bank manager post and i know some finance grad doing aggriculture work
