This is what I could compile from my experience and from what I've read little on the net to survive and be successfull in the new Zombie mode. Your comments and suggestions are welcome to amend this.
MOST IMPORTANT:
================
COMMUNICATE! tell your team where the zombies are breaking in and coming from. alternate reloading and announce when you're low on ammo. when the mystery box disappears, search for it between levels and announce its location to your team when you find it. It is very important to communicate if you are to survive higher levels.
HELP your team. if you're on the side that is chosen to open doors to the power room, DO NOT just stand around shooting while your team-mate unlocks everything. HELP THEM- unlock a door or two yourself. don't hoard your points for the box- you'll get plenty of chances later.
Revive your team-mates where possible, but don't compromise the entire team to save 1 person. if you get downed and the team cannot get to you, do not curse at them for not reviving you. just be patient and hope they can overcome YOUR mistake.
STRATEGY
==============
Rounds 1 through 5: Stay downstairs, let the zombies in the back rooms to get pickups, and point build as much as possible.
At the end of round 5, have the team on the left hold the last zombie at the window while the team on the right (M1 Grand and quick revive machine side) opens everything to the electric room, turning on the power. One of the team members on the left _ONLY_ unlock the couch and after the power is open. Team on the right buys weapons, juggernoob, and bettys, then returns to hold the last zombie while the team on the right goes and does the same. After everyone is ammo'd up, kill the zombie and return to the beginning of the map and run all the way to the other starting room (juggarnaut drink room - accessed via the opened couch). Stay in this area (double tap room) without opening the door with the lightning next to it. The players with the best weapons should gaurd the long hallway, and at least one peson should be watching the window at all times. Pull the switch when available to save ammo and they can only come in through the window.
NOTE: DO NOT STAND IN THE ADJACENT HALLWAY (Balcony lane) OTHER THAN DEFENDING THE BALCONY WINDOW.
After every couple of rounds (or every round, even better), hold the last zombie at a window. This buys you endless time to cycle for ray guns, buy perks, rebuild, reorganize, ect.:
1. Leave one zombie at the balcony - One person to build up the barrier as soon as that zombie removes it. Keep building it.
OR
2. Leave a crawler or make a crawler at the end of each round.
While one is chasing or obstructing the last zombie of the round, other three can go and board up windows, rebuild walls, grab perks, get guns from mistry box and what not. When others have finished, the guy holding the last zombie needs to be release for doing the same while others hold the zombie.
And NEVER pick up the A-Bomb at the end of a wave of Zombies when you plan on going to get weapons between rounds, you will kill the Zombie being held at the window!!!
Rounds 6 and upwards: Stay on the hallway right by the stairs/hole in the wall, about 10/15 feet back from the stairs/hole but all three facing the hole (Never go near the stairs or the hole - STAY AWAY AS FAR AS POSSIBLE!). All with Raygun and MG or Browning if possible. Fourth guy boarding up window at stairs with Flaimthrower and Raygun always holding one Zombie for end of round.
Put betties in front of the hallway just about a meter or 2 away from where you stand EVERY round. The betties can't blow each other up, so even if they're right next to each other, it'll be seperate kills. 4 people x 2 betties per round = 8 betties per round x 20 rounds = 160 betties littering the back room. Whenever you get overun or need time to reload the guns, fall back and let the betty field do it's thing.
IMPORTANT: If things go bad, everyone goes onto the balcony and turn on the electric barrier.
PERKS:
=================
Most consider these un-wanted or of less help. That is wrong. These are really very very helpful and every member of the team should have them. With one good gun and a standby SMG and with all 4 perks, you will be GOD !!!
Jugger-Nog - (Juggernaut) This perk decreases the damage you take from zombies. *This is the best perk so get this first, Every teammate should have this* *Located in the first room on the left of Asylum*
Speed-Cola - (Sight of Hand) This perk makes you guy reload his weapon faster. It lets you plant Bouncing Betty's faster. And it rebuilds barriers faster. *Get this Perk 2nd* *Located upstairs third room on the right of Asylum.*
Quick-Revive - This perk lets you revive downed team mates a lot faster. *Get this perk 3rd* *Located in the first room if you start on the right side of Asylum*
Double-Tap Root Beer - (Double Tap) This perk let's you shoot guns faster.
SOME GOOD WEAPONS: -
=====================
Knife - You have this weapon at all times. Use it in the beginning 2 rounds for finishing the zombies off. You get more points by knifing them!!
Trench Gun: 1 shot can kill up to 3 zombies and with speed-o-cola you are golden with this weapon. Remember though - you will earn less points with 1 shot kills.
MP40: Excellent until round 11. Good until round 15. Unless you are good with head shots then you can use it until level 19.
Flamethrower: Its excellent during insta-kill at higher rounds. It’s also pretty darn good up until around wave 10. After that, its trash. It blinds everyone, makes the zombies just walk around and hit you while on fire. Do your team a favor and only whip it out when there’s insta-kill. During those 30 seconds, every little particle of fire is a lethal hit to any and all zombies. Brutal.
FG42: is good for headshots but it doesn't last very long.
Browning M1919: This weapon is a beast, and a personal favorite. Two shots to the head of any level zombie will kill it. Pull up the sights, line up some zombies and rip away with the headshots.
MG42: This gun is a BEAST- hella firepower and it reloads way faster than the Browning. Much better with speed-o-cola perk.
Ray Gun: The ray gun is a monster of a weapon.
* One hit kill anywhere but the legs.
* Shooting the legs sometimes makes a crawler, most of the time it kills them.
* Does explosive damage
* Anything in the small blast radius of the ray gun’s shot will get damaged, including you. If you walk up to a wall and shoot it, you’ll take damage. It is possible to die this way, so don’t do it.
MAKING THE ZOMBIES PAY!!!
=========================
Unlike the first map, there is a trick to getting zombies drop "gifts" on Verruckt: You have to be in the same room as the zombie you killed in order for the zombie to drop anything. If you're shooting out of a doorway into a hallway, they wont drop much if anything, and you'll be in a whole world of hurt. Same room, same staircase, same hallway.
SOME ADDITIONAL TIPS:
========================
1. DON'T REBUILD UNLESS YOU HAVE TO. All rebuilding does is makes the zombies come in a huge horde, instead of coming in at a balanced pace. Only rebuild when holding a zombie, or when you need some extra points.
2. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON DOUBLE TAP WHEN YOU HAVE MACHINE GUN!!! It goes through ammo twice as fast, and while you're thinking it's kill twice as well, you're wrong. Instead, use the other three perks, and always fire your weapons in short bursts at the head. Just light tap the trigger while aiming at the head.
3. Only have 1 ray gun firing at a time. Only use more then one if the crowd of zombies gets too big. If you run low on any ammo, throw grenades. They never lose their power, but make sure you run into the same room before you throw them, as to keep getting the pick ups.
4. Whenever you get an instakill, let the flamethrower do its thing, and CONSERVE YOUR AMMO. By round 20, the flamethrower is useless, except for the ammount of ammo it saves during instakill.
AND THIS ONE's A DESERT WITH A CHERRY TOPPING -
==============================================
Round 26 is the LAST DIFFICULT ROUND. Starting in round 27, the zombies stop coming in force and just trickle in. With each round, less and less zombies come in. After around Round 34 - "Do whatever you want". The zombies don't come in anywhere. They sit outside the windows at every location, so run around and play, use stupid weapons like the BAR or Springfield. Chuck grenades or panzer rounds into the courtyard. Lots of fun, but it gets boring.
Phew!!! - done!!! I would have died by the zombies less number of times than writing this one.
So happy killing the bad Zombies and bring the wrath of hell on them !!!
