Greetings, folk owner of the HD.

Presently I'm on the fence between the HD and the II and is hoping that you folks can help out this poor fence sitter.

My present conception of the HD and the II:

1. Fast and non-laggy although slower processor compared to the Omnia II (800 MHz) - most likely due to the OS. The II even takes time loading widgets.
2. Nice HD vids but I don't do video so much, much less view them on the phone. Still it's good to have when you travel.
3. Lower screen resolution but higher color depth. Longish screen too which makes certain photos look odd compared to the II.
4. Fantastic stereo speakers for vids and songs.
5. 8MP camera but from the photos observed - nothing to shout about (very much over-exposed too most of them). Then again the II is no better.
6. Better build for the HD compared to the II which looks plastiky.
7. Supposedly more responsive capacitive screen for the HD compared to the newer resistive screen for the II. But coming from a resistive screen, I'm quite used to stylus scribing and finger tip tapping. Capacitive screen could be a problem.
8. HD has no Office editing software out of the box but the II has (unconfirmed).
9. Both units have no pre-loaded GPS nav software (bummer).
10. Last but not least - S60 5th ed against Win Mo 6.1 (and soon 6.5). I've been on WinMo since 2001 but have been using Symbian S60 3rd ed. for sometime too. So, I prefer the variety from Win Mo but I like the simplicity of Symbian.

Any comments on my comments?

On the HD, some questions:

1. Is the HD able to synch with MS Outlook for calendar, emails, contacts and tasks?
2. I read a lot of ebooks on the MS reader lit format. Any converter out there to convert to other formats the HD can use?
3. Anyone skinned their HD? Have not seen any screenshots here,
4. HD has no smart dialling right?

Thanks folks.
