QUOTE(quahk2006 @ Aug 26 2009, 10:04 PM) depends where u record la...i try at home no noise...can clearly hear my voice..even upload to youtube same also...clear btw i heard from frens say that FMG alrdy bankrupt? anyone can prove this? and say now all samsung under zitron warranty .. That's not possible, since there's a HUGE full page advertisement of the phone on The Star today, with FMG stated there in BIG and BOLD letters. A company thats going to be bankrupt wont waste the money on that much ads.

Omnia HD uses Capacitive Touchscreen. Hope the article below clears that up.
Capacitive Main article: capacitive sensing A capacitive touchscreen panel is a sensor typically made of glass coated with a transparent conductor such as indium tin oxide (ITO).[3][4] This type of sensor is basically a capacitor in which the plates are the overlapping areas between the horizontal and vertical axes in a grid pattern. Since the human body also conducts electricity, a touch on the surface of the sensor will affect the electric field and create a measurable change in the capacitance of the device. Like the stylus used in the defunct CED video disc, these sensors work on proximity of the conductive medium (finger), and do not have to be directly touched to be triggered. It is a durable technology that is used in a wide range of applications including point-of-sale systems, industrial controls, and public information kiosks. It has a higher clarity than Resistive technology, but it only responds to finger contact and will not work with a gloved hand or pen stylus unless the stylus is conductive. Examples include Apple Inc.'s iPhone and iPod Touch, HTC's G1, HTC Magic and HTC Hero, Palm Inc.'s Palm Pre and Palm Eos and more recently the LG KM900 Arena, Microsoft's Zune HD, Sony Walkman X series and Sony Ericsson's Aino.

latest firmware is for Hong Kong release.
The easiest way to update a firmware is by simply going to the service center, but good luck with that. Last time I checked they dont even have UG2 firmware.
The other way is by using the updater that came with the phone software, I check this morning but theres seem to be nothing new for local release. (and yes, they will say "phone software updater does not support the connected model" if theres no update. ive checked on a few forums)
The most risky way is by flashing your phone, which will void the warranty.

Omnia HD is more expensive, but have more features.
If you want to save money, get Jet. If you have the money, get HD.

QUOTE(cyclone2k1 @ Sep 8 2009, 11:12 PM) On the HD, some questions: 1. Is the HD able to synch with MS Outlook for calendar, emails, contacts and tasks? 2. I read a lot of ebooks on the MS reader lit format. Any converter out there to convert to other formats the HD can use? 3. Anyone skinned their HD? Have not seen any screenshots here, 4. HD has no smart dialling right? Thanks folks. 1. Yes, I think so. 2. I usually convert them to PDF. 3. I think its already looks fantastic. 4. I think I've seen that option somewhere.
