Sad to announce that my i8910 had to be sent for warranty due to a problem where the phone wont detect the 8 Gig internal memory, even after soft/hard reset.

QUOTE(alfredtwl @ Aug 16 2009, 08:49 PM) so sad to you ~ Why do you need a converter? The device default video player plays most avi, mpeg and mp4 already.Added on August 16, 2009, 8:50 pm i think you have to double check, and if really got problem, send to warranty ~ Added on August 16, 2009, 8:55 pmerm... 1 question, which video converter your guys use huh? i download the converter before, but all only trial version , so only convert not over 5 minutes , damn it..... |

QUOTE(aruja_69 @ Aug 18 2009, 12:58 AM) Is there any convertor that make the same quality video like the sample included in the phone??? Lastly I use my B & O but the sound only so so nothing to shout about.... If im not mistaken, the phone PC Suite will offer to convert your videos/audios when you drag and drop the files into the interface. |

QUOTE(aruja_69 @ Aug 18 2009, 11:52 PM) Weird ah..Singapore launched Omnia 2 first then HD but here terbalik....using garmin just now and took less than 1 min to detect....indoor picture taken suck compared with N97 but the screen i admire the most..... you can get decent picture if you play with the modes they have. Such as the Party/Indoor mode. These were taken using indoor mode, no flash. But of course the LED flash pictures taken with the phone sucks. But then again, if you want a great cameraphone, better get a samsung pixon. It has xenon if im not mistaken. This post has been edited by emino: Aug 19 2009, 12:00 AM |

I dont think Symbian phones have reset buttons. however you can reset themby entering some codes. Some setting will ask for pincodes, and the codes are 00000000.
*#7380# - Soft reset the phone and restores default phone settings. *#7370# - Hard reset the phone. Formats phone memory and restores default phone settings *#62209526# - View MAC address with out removing your battery *#0000# - View Phone version information *#0228# - Phone test mode *#1546792*# - Phone admin mode *#1234# - Gives firmware info *2767*3855# - Factory reset *#1111# - Test mode screen. FTA SW Version. Don’t know what that is. I assume software version of some sort. *#2222# - Test Mode Screen. FTA HW Version. REV0.3 - I assume hardware version. *#3333# - Camera settings. *#06# - The config and advance options menu. Be careful touching anything here! Added on August 19, 2009, 3:59 pmHere's how to up the volume in both videos and Music: Press telephone and type *#0002*28346# A menu will appear. Now to up the Music playback volume via the headset. I've send this to Samsung.
QUOTE Hello. I bought the new Omnia HD (i8910) last week and just after 4 days of using it, the phone 8 gig memory broke down. So on Sunday, I brought it to send for warranty back to the shop, and the shop send it to Lowyat's Samsung Service Center on Monday. It then took them 3 f***ing days to get back to me. Ooops, did I said they get back to me within 3 days? NO. I have to call the shop to get the number to the service center. And after I pushed to get back MY phone on this day, then they start to say they'll try to get it by today and fix it. They then called and said they replaced the board. When I come to pick the phone, the memory problem was fixed, but now the phone doesn't vibrate and gives the vibrating feedback when touched, even with the option turned on the highest settings. I then send it back and waited it to be fixed. And when I check it again, they don't come with the latest IG2 firmware which the phone I bought originally had.Instead, they come with an outdated firmware and they claim they don't have the latest firmware yet. They want me to wait another day. I then demand a new phone, but they said the procedure would take 2 weeks to get me a new phone. Samsung really manages to screw up big this time. I only manages to use the phone for 4 days before it broke down. Now you want me to wait for another 2 weeks? Hell no. Its a freaking expensive phone. And I pay for a NEW FRESH PHONE. Not something you have poked and open again and again just after 4 days. Here are my details.I demand a new phone or my cash back AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I cant wait 2 weeks. YOU screw this one up,and YOU should fix it as soon as possible. I'm also saving/sending/publishing this copy of report to my blog, my facebook, Lowyat.Net i8910 thread and a few more. |

What a nice end of a horrible battle with Samsung. They ended up giving me a new phone. But dont want to give me the box since they asked me to take back my old box if I want the new one. As if I care about the box. I just want a new phone which they havent open and poked.
The new phone arrives just a bit later than the case that i bought from 13579. GOod sale dude. |

The default Real player that comes with the phone.
I've tried putting some more music videos into the phone (and convert those flv's into mp4 since flv is not supported). Really nice. This post has been edited by emino: Aug 24 2009, 11:41 AM |
