finally Samsung had proven me that they suck BIG TIME!! anphase reported the new firmware has nothg special and the gallery browser LAGGY when scrolling.. waiting for HyperX to fix those problem in his new firmware and shall flash my phone!!

yes, latest 1 is 2.02 based on JB1.
i think the picture gallery and music gallery still lag, ony bit better than official 1.
the new firmware is ProtoX, that 1 based on pre-release firmware be4 i8910 launched. tat 1 for play2 only, not for everyday use

flash alrdy.. no CHINESE!! T_T guys know how? i'm using HX2.02 Fixed now but no Chinese.. please help.. n i hate the BOLD text everywher in this firmware..

No chinese in HyperX la , didnt u read b4 u flash it ..only those guai lou language and if u r using 16G , dl the russian version ...The standard version is based on 8G JB1 firmware so a little problem if u r installing files thru pc studio

No idea , kinda lazy 2 reflash it . Its already in Msia since Jan le , dunno wth is our stupid samsung doing not releasing it out . Their excuse is "testing" . Like they know anything

i will try this firmware n c.. mayb not stable since they did not announce.. the Italian just announced but sucks.. so i think this Msia firmware will suck too!

OMG ...u dun know how 2 flash ? U sure u wanna do it coz normal flashing isnt tat easy as HyperX , u need 2 put in those 3 values yourself

1st of all , if u dl from tat page , 4 sure u need 2 merge the file ...Make sure u merge it correctly , u might need 2 rename the 2nd or 3rd file 2 merge it with the 1st but dun worry , its the correct 1 ... HyperX firmware flashing tool is practically spoon feed to u , just hit the "start download" button and its all done ... Standard firmware will come with 3 files which u need 2 upload it manually to your flashing tool . If u still got problem understanding it from watching the video , try google it under "how to debrand my samsung omnia hd" ... Should haf a written guide . Dun worry , flashing your firmware doesnt void your warranty in malaysia like other countries ...

thanks a lot for the advise bro! i alrdy flash to the Msia firmware in the link u provided.. is a very old firmware.. nothg special.. not kinetic scrolling at all. Is the same firmware when i bought my Omnia HD after it release in Msia.

I know , seems just an upgrade of IG2 ....WTF with the rename 2 IG3 and new release , basically most of the firmware is from IG2 ...zzzz . So far , found the italian firmware 2 be good . Give it a try . XXJB1 or u can try the Global release . . . . If u wanna compare , Hyper 2.02 is definately faster and also lighter on the phone yet a bit buggy . Official Samsung should be better , least bug and more stable but laggy . . .Choice is yours ... All thanks 2 fark-up Samsung and their poor support . CB .....I8520 suppose 2 be HD replacement yet now I'm giving it alot of thought b4 buying this good phone with china-made hp support service

icic.. the global release got Chinese also? i will use anythg as long as it can view Chinese texts.. the i8510 looks good but worry the support too..

Some hardware info for those who's interest lah...
The i8910 GPS chip is the Atheros AR1511 which it's performance is about same par with the SIRF Star III GPS chip (only a bit slower, but with all those GPS+ and A-GPS technic it sure will surpass the StarIII chip where mostly only utilising the offline mode), that's why the GPS signal tracking is far more fast and better then those Navilink 5.0 GPS chip which use by mostly all the Nokia phone (included N97/N97Mini/X6 maybe even the N900)...

finally we dont have to waste our time waiting for sucky useless Sucksung!! there's new hope for us all!!! SPB Mobile shell.. damn nice! now on beta alrdy.. after release will cost ard USD30 but i'm more than willing to pay!
