and even then, it's not a proper answer to why you should run rich in racing.
cooler is one thing, but it also boils (no pun intended) to the internal pressures of the combustion chamber. besides, you should have rectified him instead of agreeing 'yes you are right'. such answers will only mislead other people into thinking that their wrong automotive concepts are wrong. |

well, piston mengembang berkadaran dengan suhu adalah benar kerana ia diperbuat oleh logam, tapi piston ring dan block/piston wall juga diperbuat oleh logam dan akan mengembang bersama-sama.
Hence, i dont see the actual major reason behind running rich during track race. But i would assume running rich is safer than running lean which of coz not too rich either. A safer buffer zone before it runs too lean and detonation/pinging happen and kill the engine prematurely during the race. |
