well, piston mengembang berkadaran dengan suhu adalah benar kerana ia diperbuat oleh logam, tapi piston ring dan block/piston wall juga diperbuat oleh logam dan akan mengembang bersama-sama.

Hence, i dont see the actual major reason behind running rich during track race. But i would assume running rich is safer than running lean which of coz not too rich either. A safer buffer zone before it runs too lean and detonation/pinging happen and kill the engine prematurely during the race.

No lar, coz if let say 14.7 is the best a/f ratio to set, but can u be sure that the a/f ratio will stay constant under extreme condition during track race especially endurance races? So to play safe, some might set slightly richer for room for error. Heck, my car is running rich due to the stupid stock ecu. You may not have the power, but at least reliability is there. Thats my own opinion lar. For more knowledge on this, u gotta ask sleepwalker d.

ya lor, kev, thats what i am trying to say. y gamble to be right on the point. Sometimes, lay back behind the limit line and be safe mar. Like how the 180sx gave me so much preasure staying behind me all over the rear view mirror at cameron. But i know, i cant gamble go beyond the limit just to try shaking him off.

wei, i did giv my best out during that downhill run wei~ but just that part of the small factor is i am not very familiar with the roads~ so like almost 90% of it d~ which i really feel the preasure seeing u behind me like a ghost~ i believe if u did overtake me~ u sure dissapear off from me lor~
