im the slowest rider there guys!!..

definitely shows that not riding for a freaking long time takes a toll on me..hahaha.. fell twice at the race.. once at practice, and one at the road gap... its definitely a freaking tight trail, with lots of off chamber turns, drops into turns, freaking long pedalling section and not for getting the super looooooosssseeeee track..hahaha..

had fun during the weekend at johor.. definitely going there again.. now need to recover from the "nangka busuk" crash and more XC for me definitely.. not enough stamina to get trough the trail guys..huhuhu

I really wanted to enter the race but I sent my rear shock for servicing and didn't get it back in time

yeah lots of crashes even for the pros, especially at the triple drops into off camber turn near the starting point. Hong Chun & Nan Uncle Bully crashed there in the morning session. Super dry & loose track haha...

eh i just add a heavier fork n pedal ok

u can upgrage slowly, part by part...dun need to hurry, as u also need to upgrade ur skill also.

Just suggesting to put priority on frame-fork-wheels over drivetrain only due to more substantial effect on performance.

ouch! Kesian...but you'll be a better rider after a few falls. You gotta scan 20-30 feet ahead and shift body as u approach obstacles. Better hardware doesn't mean you wont fall. I had a fellow friend who quit mtb because he got too many injuries. His leg full of scars until his wife banned him from riding. He has converted to roadie since. What to do...his wife love him too much and everytime he comes back with a wound, her heart hurts...ekekeke.

Isn't riding a roadie more dangerous? From rempits to taxis to lorries.
MTB doesn't necessarily mean have to hardcore wat.

Sigh...I know about the show but cannot go as I'll be in Europe doing that week

He he...we are very hardcore here. Most of our riders here are very "close friends" with jagged rocky trails. I too have made friends with the rocks...LOL. I am already a very careful rider & finding it hard to catch up with them when going downhill on these dangerous trail sections...it's so darn dangerous. Cycling only mar...no need to risk it all. Some of them tackle such trails with a hardtail bike .

Of course for roadie, also has it's dangers...but mtb still more risk of falling because riding offroad...rocky trails, slippery rooty trails, muddy trails...to sum up, environmental triggered. For roadie, do avoid those heavy traffic areas la...and ride with caution especially at junction. My fren almost kena sandwich between a trailer and curb during cornering because the trailer driver didn't see him . That's why on road, we shud ride with caution and dont expect drivers or motorcyclist to "see" us .

for MTB, accidents happen because of their own action, so crashes can be controlled by not riding too hardcore etc....

but for roadies, accidents are usually freak accidents. eg. car coming towards you after a blind corner, rempits, holes on the road at night etc~

its up to you to decide which is more dangerous...
