Wow 10lbs a month, and I can't even afford half of that lol. You need a lot of carbs to fuel your workout so don't neglect it, especially if you're an ectomorph.

Great to know that you stopped smoking. There's no benefit to it anyway. Congratulations and keep it up!

Its normal to have a seemingly huge increase in strength for people who just started lifting within a few months. After a while the strength increase will slow down so don't be upset if it does. Also I doubt your bench press increased cos of the gloves... Gloves don't make your chest stronger.

Maybe he calculated it without including his lunch/dinner? It isn't likely that he'd be eating only oats and whey for all his meals, every single day. He'd puke if that were the case...
