Hi...

currently i have 2 iphones...and both of them i am sharing the same iTunes...from the same PC...

somehow my 2nd iphone just got locked up after 1 day use only.... and i have to unlock again...
the thing is... at first when i log in to my iTunes... using my 2nd phone...it seems that every data from my 1st iphone is transferred to my 2nd phone....including the contact list, photos etc....

so is it because of this, the 2nd phone got locked again? because two different set of phone with two different serial numbers cannot share?

anyone can help input?

how about authorize and deauthorize the computer every time switching itunes account/iphones?

AFAIK, u can only authorize/deauthorize 5 times per year if not mistaken
if more than that, u'll have to call Apple and ask them to help you

nope, i authorize/deauthorized many times and no prob.

it's actually "You can authorized only 5 machines (computer) for each account". and in case u havent perform deauthorization on some computer (in case u use your account on other computer that u dont want the account to remain intact, but u forgot to perform deauthorization) u can perform reset which is can only be done once per year. this will reset all machine count in your account.

btw i dont see authorize/deauthorize to be related with this issue. the prob is u r enabling automatic sync of your contacts and contents. u can set for doing the transfer manually. previously i got 2 iphons on the same time and i got no prob.

i think i set automatically sync...

the thing is itunes will copy every single backup from my 1st phone to my 2nd phone... contacts... even sms all from 1st iphone transfer to 2nd iphone...

anyway...i have already unlock my 2nd iphone and jailbreak it again... this time....i create another iphone profile for my iTunes...

and it doesn't share the same configuration with my 1st iphone anymore...

for now..considered problem solved....

That's the problem, when you plug in the 2nd phone and sync as the 1st phone, there's where the problem arise. If you want to sync 2 phones with 1 itunes, you need to create a different profile for that phone.

yup create a different name (profile) for ur your iphones. My 1st iphone got warranty claimed and back with a new one. my com will ask me if i wanna sync as the previous phone or create a new profile for the phone.

Hi guys. Newbie here... What if i got 2 iphones and i want to transfer the contacts + contents from 1st phone to the 2nd one? Do I need to create two profile? Can the datas be transfered between profiles? If i only create one profile, then the problem will arise rite (like kevyeoh)?

hmm...you can try to sync your 1st phone with outlook contacts...then after that sync outlook to 2nd phone ???
roughly an idea only...haven't tried if it works...

for my case.... don't follow...because u might end up with ur 2nd phone got locked...and then u have to unlock and jailbreak again and then after that you will lose the contact again because it's sorta like reformated dee....

What if i purchased the phone secondhand?? So should i ask the previous owner to delete his itune account? the registration involves the serial or imei number rite? will this have any effect if i register another account?

no problem at all. the iphone will recognise the itunes e-mail account authorised on your pc/mac during synchronisation
