Important: Seagate new 7200.12 is actually 7200.11, ST3500418AS = da problematic ST3500410AS

how come the 7200.12 3500418AS 500 gig 16 meg cache with CC33 firmware...
when i check with seatools...it says 3500410AS? but the sticker on the HD writes there 7200.12 3500418AS 500 gig
the 7200.12 is still new...and i cant google much info for now...Just some info on the web stated the new 7200.12 is still the same old 7200.11 but a resticker and rebadge and firmware update HD
if so i think i kena tipu d..
i gonna call seagate hotline malaysia tmrow......
anyone got the same problem with me?

thread temporary close for further investigation
initial googling for info..
reveal that the first model revision of 7200.12 comes from the same 7200.11 shell but using:
Seagate using new ST3500418AS sticker to stick to the HD but using software to reveal the the HD info ..actually shows the HD is ST3500410AS which is the 1st hybrid model of 7200.12/7200.11
single plater with reduce cache ram from 32 meg to 16 meg
different firmware
better speed.
As an advice, wait for the 2nd revision for the real 7200.12 500 gig with model code ST3500418AS

mine everything load into windows..got 2 times tick tick sound...
very weird...
