I believe this series was actually a translation of the Three Investigators. Jupiter Jones, Pete Crenshaw and Bob Andrew, and of course their patron, Alfred Hitchcock. My secondary school's library had them, along with Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. I believe the latter two books were also translated into Malay.

ya, I heard bout this b4.
and i think you are rite, but i can say the translation is nice and the plot is good!

good idea!! but this kind of old books, school library has?

QUOTE(mskvenn @ Feb 9 2009, 03:42 PM)
I read a few in the Tiga Penyiasat series but, I mostly read about the 2 brothers called Faruk and Johar. Couldn't remember their names. Each book is only 123+pages and I used to finish them very quickly. In fact, I still have them, somewhere in my abandoned cupboard.

They have a lot of these storybooks in the PJ library.  tongue.gif

Well my school library renewed the old ones about 2 years after I left with the new hardcovers, they have the whole sets of Tiga Penyiasat, Nancy Drew & Hardy Boys. So I figured school library should have them.
*
well, not my school library. probably too old and yellowish, so they threw it away when they upgrade..

QUOTE(mskvenn @ Feb 10 2009, 05:14 PM)
Yep, they have it, although I'm not sure if they have the complete collection. The PJ library is very near Assunta, turn to your left when you see the hospital in the roundabout. The books are in the children section.  biggrin.gif

It seems like you really love these kind of books. I think they still have them in the bookstores, don't they?
*
didnt see any bookstores selling , kind to enlighten us where to get it?

QUOTE(milleu @ Feb 11 2009, 09:01 AM)
yeah but then the new translation sucks. i got the salma series aka nancy drew and it just wasn't the same.

I'm looking for the old editions which makes it harder.
*
I think siri tiga penyiasat's translation are perfect! its malay is as good as it can be!

QUOTE(zenwell @ Feb 11 2009, 11:43 AM)
