Hi, im currently having a locked iphone which is version 2.2 which i jailbreaked using QuickPwn when the version of yellowsn0w was 0.9.6 .

Now recently, the Dev Team said again # GOLDEN RULE: If you have a 3G iPhone running 2.2 firmware and you want to keep your ability to use yellowns0w (or the option to use it in the future) do NOT use QuickPwn, and do not use the official ipsw or the iTunes update process without using PwnageTool.

Im on a windows i cant run PwnageTool and ive already jailbroken my phone using QuickPwn coz when it was 0.9.6, the Dev Team did say it was okay, they scrapped Off the "Golden Rule" at that time when they announced it. I don't know if any of you were following it.

So now my question is, is it possible for me to update yellowsn0w in the future if i do a full restore with iTunes to 2.2 then somehow find PwnageTool to 2.2.1(custom .ipsw:)?

Or else any alternatives? Or am i just holding a soon to be bricked phone coz i can't update anything anymore and stick to 2.2 with 0.9.6 yellowsn0w?

Thanks

Okay thanks...what if a new firmware update comes out? Will my jailbroken phone with quickpwn make it impossible to use new yellowsn0w versions?

Coz right now its 2.2 jailbroken with quickpwn
