Not really... The combat parts are like Gears of War (Cover mechanics with some spells and stuff), but the rest are like a typical RPG - Running around, getting quests, talking to NPCs, etc.

it's a good game and the only game on my comp

i'm still early in the game...but so far...it's pretty much hack-n-slash dynasty warrior combat but can dodge+transform into monsters...there's also leveling up+gem power up+new skill/combo to be discovered...everything u can expect from bioware i guess...
