How do you guys think ? my school got teach but students must bring their own gear . Guitar , Amps , Cables
Of course the cable can put inside the gig bag . But an amp is too big ( I think ) . I go to school by bus . 10 watt is small but sometimes its a trouble as I need to carry the guitar , and my school bag .
Any opinions on what can I bring ? Smaller amps ? Mobile Amps ? Of course we bring it to school and we keep it in the locker ( Music Room , Teacher prepare for us ) . After school then we gotta bring back .

I think that's gonna be tough. I've never seen a small and compact bass amp.

Bring less school books! So cool your school teach guitar. Since you go by bus, it would be hard. Or leave something like the amp at school, and get another one for home.

im using an ibanez 15w (bass amp) for practice at home.... i think most practice amps (or so called 'smallest' amps) are of this size? it's not a problem for me to carry around, but since u have a school bag and u take the bus, it's defintely more troublesome... btw, i dont know if this will suit u (or the bass), but check it out: http://www.lelong.com.my/Auc/List/2009-02D...rtable_Ms_4.htm* if the auction already ended, just try searching lelong for "Marshall portable Ms-4" This post has been edited by ptewee: Feb 7 2009, 12:03 PM

My high school teaches almost everything except for Pianos . Teachers call us to bring our own gear ... I was kinda wishing to bring the compact amp = The size of 2 cigarette pack ( operated by battery ) or Plug and Play amp .
Both are very small but don't know durable or not . I guess it's not about light or not about the amp , It's about the size . 15 watt , Its still big

Get a Line 6 Pod Studio GX USB modelling interface. It's mainly used for guitar but has a few amps for bass and vocals as well. Portable, great sound quality and all for under RM400!!I sell them, so do PM me for details my friend. Good luck! This post has been edited by satchman: Feb 7 2009, 06:29 PM

Trust me, not to ruin your sales or anything but IMO it's much more practical to bring a practice amp rather than bringing along a notebook, toneport and speakers.

well, i think the Yamaha bass amp my bro using is quite small... my suggestion is, get a backpack type of gigbag to put ur bass n cable in it... then use a handcarry bag instead of sling or backpack type to school.. then another hand hold a bass amp... i think a 10 or 15w bass amp will not be so big for u to carry la...
